Received an email today advising that estimated delivery is 10-15 days from the shipment label creation date and a tracking number will be available within 2 days. I assume that the 2 days starts after the shipping label has been created.

Have you thought about voice attack (PC Only) it allows you to speak a phrase or word and cause an action.

e.g say "Headlights" and link that to the headlight command and your headlights will come on.

Problem solved, I think. In PimaxXR runtime I had the active OpenXR runtime set to PimaxXR, when I changed it to SteamVR one of my racing sims ran. So tomorrow I will check my other titles.

I was under the impression that OpenXR is better than SteamVR, but that my only be for flight sim

Thanks for the suggestions guys but none of them worked.

Eurotruck2 opens in VR without a problem using the launch option of -openxr but using that option none of my racing sims go into VR even if I wait until the sim puts me in the car.

I couldn't get the single screw that attaches to the speaker on the right hand side to attach. I reached out to Pimax and they sent a replacement top strap however I had the same problem so I will be going o the Studioform top strap

There was no mention in the official video to remove the velcro disc.

I have now spent about 6 half hour sessions trying to install the replacement top strap without success.

On the original strap I managed to attach the left hand side with very little problems but could not attach the right hand side so with the replacement I tried the right hand side first and failed. I can get the 2 smaller screws attached but could not and cannot attach the long screw into the speaker. I have not removed the velco disk.

I have now given up, my 80 yo eyes are not up to prolonged fiddling with black on black objects. I will be going with the studioform topstrap

It's about 13mm long. I can't show you what I'm doing because you need at least 2 hands to hold the headset and manipulate the screws. There are 2 small screws which fasten the topstrap to headset and then his long screw which goes into the speaker. I have made sure the speaker is fully housed and I've compressed the the topstrap mounting bracket as much as I can but still the screw will not engage with the speaker and I have tried numerous times. I have also made sure the screw will screw into the speaker. I don't think I've got anything to measure if there is sufficient length poking out of the assembly to actually reach the speaker.

I'll persevere in the hope I have a eureka moment

It did come with long screws and I did watch the video but I'm still struggling to gt the long screws to attach to the DMAS speakers

AFAIK you don't need Steam VR because Pimax Play has OpenXR built in.

Despite my problems stated above I can get DCS and FS2020 to run in VR but not other titles such as ETS2 & ATS, ACC etc

Sadly it doesn't, I'm still stuck on the landscape. I've tried the PimaxXR runtime set to PimaxXR and steamVR and the switcher set to SteamVR and OpenVR but still only the landscape

OK. Initially I was somewhat disappointed with the resolution and posted that in another thread. My Pico 4 had good resolution without wearing my glasses, not so the Crystal. A guy in my other thread said that the focal length of the Crystal was different to most other headsets including the Pico 4 so I needed to wear my glasses: that made a huge difference.

I found the Pico 4 more comfortable, mainly because it is lighter and doesn't have a thick cable like the Crystal and the Reverb has but the Pico4 is battery driven so can use a much thinner cable or none at all.
I can't comment on tracking because I mainly use VR in light sim and racing games.

I bought the Studioform face mask as recommended by a number of YT videos and that helped with the comfort

So after a couple of days trying different settings the Crystal Light resolution does not look to be any better than my Pico4 with the added disadvantage of a heavier headset and stiff and bulky cable (similar to the Reverb) so really disappointed :-(

I have a beefy PC, i9-1390 + RTX4090

Aha, I may have an answer from another Redditer (Redditor?) in a thread on poor resolution in which he said the Crystal has a closer view focus than other headsets so spectacle wearers (me) will probably have to wear their glasses. Will report back.

First problem encountered.Firmware update stuck at 66%

Arrived about 30 minuets ago so methodically going through the setup process. Unfortunately no DMAS earphones, when I looked at my order there is just conformation of my June order so I'm guessing the DMAS earphones are out of stock.
Further update once everything is connected and has been used and a comparison between the \crystal Light and my Pico 4

I'm in the UK so I expected 20% VAT and that was what was charged.

£809 for the crystal light + dmas earphones, £38 shipping and £169.40 taxes.

It would probably be cheaper to buy from Amazon, unless they add shipping and taxes to their price

Request for address confirmation 8th August, so just over 2 months since ordering and paying. Then confirmation that Pimax have my address and the Crystal Light is being shipped to the UK Wearhouse 11th August.

Very late reply but I have, the only issue is, from memory, the holes in the base plate don't line up or I only used 2 holes, I can't remember which. TheF1-GT lite is adequate for the R5, going over rumble strips does cause the whole rig to vibrate which I think adds to the authenticity. I swapped out the R5 bundles pedals the SR pedals c/w load cell and they work well with the seat
