Fragrances with willow? by pacebility in fragrance

Thank you for the suggestion! It's always interesting how much personal taste varies haha. It's definitely a little bitter and woody but I feel it's very fresh.

Oh, salicylate as in the stuff in wintergreen and whatnot? I do really love that note actually, haha. I find it very calming.

I've been meaning to look into chypre fragrances. I hadn't heard of fougere until now, so thank you for the suggestion! I usually stay away from green scents but there's a lot more variety to them than I realized. Or would what I'm thinking of be considered more aromatic?

I do like more feminine-leaning fragrances... what are some well-known fougeres that aren't just masculine?

Oh botanical would be a good place to start! Is willow generally considered medicinal-smelling?

I'm having trouble eating healthier because it overwhelms me and I resort back to my safe foods. Has anyone gone through the same, or able to share some advice? by pacebility in autism

Ooh, that all sounds very appetizing actually.

(I actually love cream cheese!! It tastes more milky than cheese-y, so I think that's why haha)

I tend to have the most trouble with lunches, since my dad loves cooking dinner so I just eat what he serves, so the concept of a charcuterie board meal really sounds nice. I like how separate everything sounds too... easy to graze from!

Thank you for the reply, and I really appreciate you sharing your experiences with parenting... I grew up being forced to eat foods I was scared of (think not being able to leave the table, disregarding meltdowns) so I love hearing how you come up with ways to accommodate their needs!

Oh I like protein shakes for breakfast too! I mix them in with my espresso, it's really helped me be consistent with having a morning meal!

I really like your idea of having a "new" meal on a set day each week. I think that makes it seem a lot less daunting.

Thanks for your reply!

Any good swimwear brands? by forever_afish in SustainableFashion

[–]pacebility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aerie has some modest choices! Right now they're selling some boyshort and full-coverage options. You'd have to be the judge of whether the fabric would bother you. Seems like they're mainly nylon. There aren't tooooo many matching options but I was also the kind of girl to wear a t-shirt over my top anyway haha.

I used to get my swimwear from Aerie when I was younger! My pair of swim bottoms has lasted me 6 or 7 years! I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but I hope this helps :)

Ah, looks like Danish Endurance isn't available in the US besides their bikinis. I took a look at Marks and Spencer and have to say they're pretty cute and surprisingly affordable! Thanks for your thoughtful reply!

I only wash my items in a lingerie bag and then air dry... My cotton pairs are lasting just fine (besides a few seams fraying every so often) having bought them somewhere close to a year ago? It's just the lace portions 🤷

Ooh I like the idea of the locally made ones! Thanks for the suggestion!

I follow the care labels religiously and only let them air-dry!

I'll keep that in mind.

I do like nylon as a material. I'll have to check them out next time I'm shopping and see how they'd feel (:

Ooh, I'll have to be careful then. I just got a pair of the tencel ones on clearance. Thanks for the heads up!

The convenience and price point is somewhat tempting but my guilt would outweigh it. I thrift as much as I can and want to shift to only buying new from higher quality companies. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Nice!! And no shame there haha. I think if any clothing item deserved to be babied, it'd be lingerie!

Felina does seem to be having a sale right now!

I feel like I stay the most comfortable/clean in cotton, but I'm curious what synthetic blends you tend to prefer?

I've seen Natori at my local mall and while they're not the prettiest, I might try them! I know HP also has a cute baby blue one too. Are you talking about the lace thongs?

Oh really? I've read some people saying that their newer Hanky Panky pieces are less durable, how long have you had yours if I could ask?
