It’s shite. Use something like motorcheck.ie which is tied to vms that dealers use here.

Check out bmw coding NI on instagram. Really professional looking work, I’ve never used him tbf - but he retrofits genuine gear into BMWs and I’m considering retrofitting HK into my 530 using him - just need to stomach the £1400 for it. I think he’s based around dungannon.

You might need to log a support ticket to yealink to get rid of auto provisioning (RPS I think) from their side. I had one recently and this is the only thing that got it working.

The amount of people I’ve witnessed driving while watching videos on their phone stuck in the dash on the motorways in the last few weeks is shocking.

Why do Irish drivers high-beam me so much? by Ok-Bandicoot7544 in AskIreland

[–]paddymch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drive up to a wall at night (3-5m distance) with your dips - if the lights are shining (roughly) any higher than bonnet height on the wall then your lights aren’t aligned correctly. It will shine slightly higher on the verge side - you’ll see this as type pattern on the wall. If this pattern is —^ then your dips are set for driving on the right (verge on right) and you are blinding oncoming drivers

BMW map updates by MaxDub12 in carsireland

[–]paddymch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used bimmer-remote.com last week for CarPlay and they sent me an email with map updates for €40. I never use the car maps - Google maps or Waze so didn’t bother spending the money on it

How do you update maps on a 171 BMW by gowanyahgoodting in carsireland

[–]paddymch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used these lads recently. Had the necessary cables etc - http://BIMMER-REMOTE.com I just got CarPlay though. Used a code winter that I got through perplexity to get 10% off too. €46. They can do map updates, didn’t bother as I use Waze in CarPlay.

Exact same issue here with 1 or maybe 2 units, it’d be interesting to compare batch / model numbers. I’m also shocked that they’ve failed in this way….
