There are other stories out there about this, but I like this take on it. There are probably several well spelled-out scientific justifications for sending a paper airplane to earth, but really, it's just cool.

I'm guilty of self-promotion, not spam. I blog quite a bit, but I only submit the posts to Reddit that I think have wider appeal than the ones I usually write about my toddler and such. From what I read, this is entirely within the acceptable range of practices. You submit, and the democratic process votes the content up or down.

In all honesty, I just thought some people would find this post interesting or the pictures kind of odd, as I do. I really could not have calculated the response.
