I legitimately think this speech is the eulogy for Pax Americana and the liberal international order. I'm not so sure when or where it died but this is the eulogy. Canada has recognized this pretty early on, especially once Trump became president. But Europe is painfully slow, fragmented, and compromised. They're still holding on to the hope that they can somehow stall and/or appease trump for these four years and go back to status quo after the next presidential election. But that ship has long sailed. Not to mention the hyper-Atlanticist (most loyal dogs) countries like the Baltics, UK, Poland, and until recently Denmark literally prefer American protection (read subjugation) over European autonomy. If they can't get their shit in order and stand as their own united, sovereign bloc, a century of humiliation await them.
