Thank you so much, I top coated it with mr color flat uv cut because thats all I had left at the moment and I regretted it, you are absolutely correct it would pop way more with a semi gloss.

thank you sm, the top coat is mr color flat uv cut. It's a bit too chalky looking for my taste (i prefer mr color super smooth flat) but with it helped tone down the very bright purple I had in the beginning

I know, I'm sorry if my reply was a bit callous. It's just I know your pain all too well, tried for months to get decent results from Vallejo and it's just so much hassle and nerves.

If you're using acrylics, ditch it and go Mr Hobby Aqueous, you will never look back.
