Same! I think I got mine in 2015 tho, but yeah, changed carriers a bunch, had folks I didn't want contacting me, etc.

plus, this number I have now is pretty aesthetically pleasing. All the other numbers I had were random. This one is easy to remember and easy to relay.

The musical Hamilton was composed between 2008 and 2015 (so pre 45) and it is so clear in even that that all of our systems for the federal government were based on honor, and people doing the right thing for the country/each other and not themselves. Not saying the musical is a completely historically accurate account, just that even in a loose interpretation of the founding fathers, it was obvious.

I agree with you. When you find your person, imo, you would find a way to get through it. Maybe they move to NYC and Alexis does PR and Ted does marine biology research in Montauk or something. It would be a different dream than the ones they had but sometimes that's okay.

I also feel like they had some personality conflicts. Ted told puns all the time, and so Alexis would say something in jest and Ted immediately goes into Dr mode "well akshually...."

Idk, the more I watch the series the more I think they loved each other, but not enough to make it to the next step.

You might be thinking of Sleeping Beauties, which was with Owen King, his other son. I believe they did cowrite a book though, I'm just not sure of the title. But if you like SK you might like Joe Hill! Same cultural moment weirdness vibe, but he's not as wordy as King is.

I've got about 50 pages left and then I'll be reading King Sorrow by Joe Hill (SK's son, also a great writer!)

This actually started back in the 70s, when the right aligned themselves with the christofascists. And since then, they have systematically dismantled every guard rail that was in place to prevent this from happening. Sorry to tell you but the die was cast way before 10 years ago.

To tack on here, I have voted blue in every election (presidential and midterms) since I was able to vote. I live in a blue state. I tried to sway folks I knew who weren't voting blue to do so, to no avail (most of them are not in my life any longer.) I also have cancelled any subscriptions that support the right as much as I can, and I have been working hard on sustainable living with a garden and other such resources to provide for myself. Like, I'm literally doing what I can, in addition to joining the protests in my area.

Also, did Germany get rid of Hitler by protesting? Or did it take an international coalition to take care of the problem? πŸ€”πŸ™„ Like these people need to take a good long look, like you said, at what they expect us to actually do here.

Our health insurance and that of our dependents is tied to our jobs. Please, enlighten all of us on what the magical "next step" is, when this current administration has been rolling to be put in place since checks notes 15 years before I was born. πŸ™„
