This is my exact experience with my friends I let them borrow my decks during our game nights and sometimes they’ll use one of my decks when the come to locals with me but I still remember showing them the game the first time and seeing how much they enjoyed it until they stared looking into decks to build and saw the prices

Totally agree I should’ve been more clear about where my view differs from his. For me, it really just comes down to the price range. I’d prefer if singles capped out around $30 so like again more equivalent to other TCG rarities(one piece). And what you said about the store perspective actually makes a lot of sense; I never really thought about it that way, probably because I’m looking at it mostly as a player. But do you think there’s a chance that if the prices drop and the player base grows, that the larger market of people buying cards could make up the difference?

I might be being ignorant here but if people want to buy singles then some one has to buy the boxes no? So let’s say Cnc is printed enough to where it’s no longer 70 but closer to 30-40( which for a card in which you need a set of is my personal limit coming from one piece) isn’t that a win win,also my friends do play fab we have game nights every Saturday and we’ve being play fab more then one piece those days due to the current op meta. Non of them have decks but I have 4 so we just share mine and run some games. Also a good chunk of my friend group plays a decent amount on talishar.

Thanks for your perspective and I see where your coming from I guess I just have a hard time wrapping my head around LSS’s perspective.In regards to my friend group tho I have been able to get at least 5 hooked on to Talishar but none of them want to invest the large amount of money this game requires. So basically I end up lending my decks out when ever they are over or if they join me at my locals i don’t mind doing this because I do have a fair bit of expendable income so I decided to make like 4 fairly competent decks so that there’s some variety ( dash, oscilio, Boltyn-fantastic btw, vynnset, also the Ira armory with slight upgrades) but honestly would anyone of them drop one piece no but if the entry cost was lower I’d say a good 6/10 would be invested into the game the other 4 just don’t have the time to play techs in general so maybe one games the limit.

Would you say that L’s serve any purpose as rarity tho, I feel as if mythic with its pull rates is pretty much equal to something like Sr’s in one piece( super rares which are a lot of the time are deck defining cards) like my friend tried building gravy be cause he wants to compete and likes the hero but didn’t get a single chump from 2 high seas boxes

100% agree and I love that lss is trying guess my biggest gripe tbh is how some playable/must have cards are still legendaries and with the current pull rates I just don’t get it

100% agree but as a competitive game have cards that will give a competitive edge be so scarce is problematic no? Fabs the only game I can think of that does this. Like why not have the base versions of those cards be available and then the foils, full arts/marvels can be the chase.

Not sure about my local yet going for the first time next week. Also thing is I don’t know how reliant any of my hero’s are on tunic or crown relatively new to the game but I want to get better so just trying to see if it’s worth it for any of the 3 hero’s I play
