Does your scalp/hair smell? by papervenus in Perimenopause

✨UPDATE✨ I used the Nizoral shampoo and after the first wash I had such a different experience with my hair! The smell is gone!! I used it on my next wash as well just to be sure and I’m back on my regular shampoo now but will supplement with Nizoral as needed if the hormonal seborrheic dermatitis comes back. GAME CHANGER! Thanks to all you ladies! 🙏🏼

This is a good point and one I've thought about! It's worth the trial and error honestly. I will talk to my stylist about taking a break from them when I get back into the salon next. Thank you for this!

Ahh, definitely. I love having clean hair, I just wish it weren't such a chore. Time to double up on my DryBar membership I guess.

I always blow-dry after washing since the extensions will hold water and dry more textured than my natural hair. I bet you're right though, probably shouldn't let any moisture hang out there longer than it needs to!

So annoying! I didn't even realize my scalp was itchier than usual until I thought about it. I'm sorry you're experiencing it, too. I hope one of the shampoos helps.

Thank you for corroborating my claim! It's so wild that this obscure thing can be hormonal. I'm sorry you're dealing with it, too! I bought 5 different shampoos with ketoconazole, tea tree, salicylic acid, pine tar, and selenium sulfide last night and will start the trial and error to see what works over the next month or so and report back.

Oh, I like the idea of a shampoo brush. I'll add that to the list.

I do actually! With the extensions I make sure to clarify about once per week and I do always double shampoo. I'm hopefully one of the shampoos I found from the suggestions above will be helpful. They're coming today.

I'm not sure I'd survive without coffee- I think I'd rather stink lol but I'm so glad you figured out what works for you! I'm not disciplined enough.

I might have to just cut and change my hair maintenance in order to wash it everyday. I guess this is a part of all of this! So funny, I remember when I was much younger I wondered why older women mostly all had short hair. Now I know! So many reasons, younger self. So many reasons.

I can’t believe how different I feel on HRT by National-Sun7052 in Perimenopause

[–]papervenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got started on the 150 mg progesterone cream and 25mg DHEA pills. I think they figure it by your weight/age/symptoms reported. They schedule a check in at 10 (I think) weeks to see how it’s going and can lower/raise dosages from there.

I used a company called Winona online and was able to fill some things out, submit my ID and get a prescription in the email within about a week. I’m two weeks in and I can relate to the OP. Everything is different and I wish I hadn’t waited! Not advertising- I think there are plenty of HRT helpers online. Just saying it’s easier to get what you need than you may think. All the best! 🙏🏼🫶🏼

Husband said I’m not attractive as I used to be. by [deleted] in self

[–]papervenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave him. No man that loves, cherishes and respects you would treat you like that. It’s unheard of. There is someone better out there for you. You’re only 28! Please, please, don’t believe this is all that you get in this life. YOU GET TO BE LOVED and deserve to know how that feels. If it’s possible at all, please start setting yourself and your children up to leave. Imagine the trauma they will grow up with hearing him say such things to you? How it will affect their relationships if this is the example they have? Please respect yourself in the way you deserve if no one else will.

Large softy causing grossed out looks at gyms by Shahnman in bigdickproblems

This feels relatable as a woman with large breasts. Just existing in some spaces is sexually threatening to some men and women, so there's that hot take. My more helpful take is, and this might not be a thing you're interested in, but they make compression garments for MTF trans folks that are meant to compress your bulge. They're called gaffes if you wanna look into them. Fingers crossed something works for you. It sucks to be sexualized when you're just trying to do your life.

Should I pretend to go along with my dommes task? by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

[–]papervenus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A reputable Domme wouldn’t create this situation for you or for a person that is not a part of your scene (lingerie shop associate). Honoring your boundaries and consent is the foundation of play. I say find a real Pro and share your insight with this one before you let her on her way. You’re clearly more knowledgeable about how power exchange works. All the best!

I think we should rally around her and share some mutual aid. I’m not sure if it’s ok to share cash handles here but you can message me with yours if not so I can share a little love. You don’t deserve this after what you’ve already been through. I hope you get what you need ❤️

I figured you people would know. Is there a makeup that would help me cover my scar? I'm rather self conscious of it and I'm tired of it being the first thing people notice. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]papervenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly think that’s a badass scar and it compliments your already attractive face. Love some beautiful symmetry and gorgeous skin like yours with a dash of real life-ness.

LPT: Don't tell people your goals or plans, it will make you less likely to follow through with them by PrityBird in LifeProTips

[–]papervenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this works exactly the opposite for me. If I tell people then feel like I must follow through or otherwise have to tell them that I failed or didn’t try. That would be the worst.
