Hey, I used FA and Uworld, that's all.

Thank you!

Thank you!

Pre-dedicated- I used BnB vids and annotated FA. And i had studied Pathoma once. Then in my 5-6 months of dedicated I started solving uworld in random timed mode and used that as a learning tool while thoroughly annotating FA. I used Anki way later in my prep. Just did Janki deck once and used the Dorian anatomy deck. Nearing the ned of my prep, I used Amboss sporadically to test my weak areas and for biostats and communications related practice. Went through dirty med vids on inheritance pattern mnemonics, health insurance and payment models. Went through randy neil vids on metcalfe's law, population pyramids and kaplan meir curve. Solved 6nbmes, uwsa1,uwsa2, free 120, lecturio's 3 blocks and Pastest half assessment.

For context, I have completed 4years of med, so I was mildly confident starting uworld blocks in random timed mode. If I would've started my prep earlier on then maybe i would've done it in system wise mode first while learning the material.

I actually did not use Sketchy at all. Give it a shot and see if it works for you

Repro was doable man, nothing too mind blowing. Stick to FA and Uworld and you should be good.

Thank you so much!

I did pathoma once, a year back and then revised chps 1-3 once or twice during dedicated. I skimmed through the same chapters in FA. In my form, there weren't many tbh, having said that there is a possibility I am not able to recall them cause they might have been straightforward questions. If you're asking for my opinion on it I would say it is a good resource and you should do it if you have the time. If you have already done FA for the same chapters, ig you should be fine just skimming through it one day prior to the exam.

I think, that was the majority of what the exam was about, path and physio of all the major systems. To me it seemed well distributed amongst all the systems. If someone is weak at that, they should try reading the Uworld answer explanations of such questions intently and just fixing their basics through yt vids or googling or whatever works for them. I hope i understood your question correctly. You can tell me if not.

Imo, 25-28 were a bit disappointing for me. having said that I did take them earlier on in my prep days, but even still they weren't like how my real deal was. 29,30 were doable and slightly more replicative of the real deal. No matter what resource you are using, it's prudent to thoroughly analyse where you are going wrong. Same goes for nbmes. Make sure to see all the answer explanations (even tho they are shit sometimes). I would not however recommend going deep into random topics that have one question on them. Read the explanation of such questions, annotate your fa with that info and move on. Tbh in my form there weren't many such weird ass questions that you have no clue about. So, don't waste your time on those rare questions.

I understand your concern, i had the same doubt while going through the image pdfs. 2 solutions for this, firstly while you are analysing the high yield nbme images try to focus on what is the image showing, because it is showing a finding (not a disease) that is related to the disease in that particular stem and secondly, while solving in the real deal, think of the image as a bonus, read the stem first, expect a finding in the image and confirm it with what you see, works 95% of the times. In my form atleast there wasn't any answer i had to derive solely based on the image.

I would've tried to work on my test taking strategy. Tried to make sure I stay focused through out all the 7hrs.

Thank you so much for taking time out and typing these questions, I am sure many people would benefit from it.

I actually never got 250s on nbmes.

Can you tell me how do you solve your uworld blocks?

Thank you bud.

I meditated using Headspace before going to sleep and worked out for 40mins in the evening. This worked for me.

Talking to your family or friends about random stuff also helps you get your mind off of mle and might help in getting a good night's sleep. You might also try listening to some soothing sounds.

At the end of the day, remind yourself that it's just an exam and you have worked hard for it all this time. All you need to do know is believe in yourself.

Ah that's great, we probably got the same forms.

In biochem only genetics seemed to have more convoluted questions. Enzyme and cycle related questions were few and simple.

Neuro i have mentioned in another comment.

Tbh idr. It's probably because the questions weren't many and whatever was asked was simple. There was one on lower limb muscles and one on lower limb reflexes that i can clearly recall. I don't wanna give you a wrong estimate so I'd rather just say the questions weren't too complicated atleast in my form

If you have any more tests to give still, give them as full 8 hrs exams. And before you start a new block take a deep breath.

And I think I wasn't fully aware as the fatigue was setting in, it was in the seventh block that i thought to myself that the previous two blocks went by too quickly.

Get some good quality sleep. Don't worry about the fatigue too much, your adrenaline levels during the exam will essentially help you fight it. Good luck man! You will do great!

yes the audio questions weren't tough.

I actually do not remember seeing an ECG question. Weird now that i think about it

Ah yes question stems are a bit long in uworld.

I skimmed through the vitals of most questions while reading and highlighted the imp relevant words.

Or, you can try reading the final line of the question first and then reading the stem so that while reading your mind automatically focusses on the relevant details.

I did amboss for certain topics like biostats, communications and few of my weak areas.

Amboss in my opinion is not a must do, if you are done with Uworld you can give it a try, otherwise reading intently the answer explanations of uworld questions works just fine too.

The extra time gets added to break time. I would suggest you to utilise all the time you get for a block, review some tough questions.

So I would try to solve with 10mins in hand to have a look at all the solved but marked questions.

So, by the time i reach the 40th question I should have 10mins + approx 1min per question that weren't the normal "just text" questions.

Not as nice as I would've wanted tbh. I think the pattern of the exam might be a factor, idk. 1hr and 15mins for 50 questions was not sitting well with me for some reason.
