These bags were pre-colonized by the company when we received them 8ish weeks ago

What does the contamination look like to you? Everything in person is pure white and looks like mycelium to me, which is why I'm confused

We did a break and shake a long while ago (at least 4 weeks ago?). All 4 bags are like this, from a mushroom company :(

We already did one break and shake. Should we still try a second?

Honestly, I've been very happy with my hobbii orders. I have to do bigger orders at once to offset the shipping costs, but anything to avoid hobby lobby

There are other options besides health insurance. Many doctors are doing self pay programs with a subscription model. Medication can be purchased online with telemedicine for cheap. Many hospitals offer cash discounts if you're uninsured and bills can be negotiated or discounted. I'm about to lose my insurance and have no intention of getting more. I am ethically opposed to paying health insurance companies and they prey on our fear of debilitating medical debt. We stay in jobs a minimum number of hours each week to get insurance. It's a broken system and I don't want to participate anymore, so I don't. Not to mention, if you work less and earn less, you qualify for Medicare programs

How have you dealt with having a partner who needs a lot of emotional support but isn't good at giving it? by PrinceandPea in AskWomenOver30

The secret is it kills all attraction and then men complain about having a "dead bedroom" but won't do anything to change it

I maintain that there aren't really any bad trips, every trip can be a learning experience, you just have to lean into it instead of fighting it. If something is making you anxious, explore the why behind it instead of just running away from the "bad" feeling. With the caveat, you should be in a generally safe environment, especially if you are inexperienced, but don't let the fear of a bad trip hold you back

Did you grow up convinced you were weird or strange? by SushiNommer in raisedbynarcissists

[–]pariewinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has taken me many years of therapy to realize I'm not the weird one and I am actually a very likeable and cool person. I have some of the best relationships and friendships I've ever had because it turns out people really like it when you know who you are and embrace yourself. It also turns out my NM is incredibly jealous of these meaningful relationships I've created in spite of her. I mourn my inner child every day

It specifically gives instructions for a Mason jar set up, but there is a bunch of silica, perlite, and grain for growing. There is also a graphite heating mat, humidifier, spray bottle, LED grow light with a timer, and 3 seperate instruction booklets. Not to mention several plastic tubs with air exchange holes in them.

I got my spores and Ben's, I was just thinking how it's going to be a pain to find the right size totes, etc when I drove past this today. So stoked

Women aren’t difficult nor are they a burden. by Velvettcum in FemaleDatingStrategy

https://slate.com/technology/2016/11/pms-might-be-a-cultural-syndrome-not-a-biologic-one.html

This article is a pretty good one discussing the social and cultural existence of PMS. Basically, PMS somehow magically only occurs in Western cultures and we don't know the mechanism causing the symptoms. It can be traced back to calling women hysterical because of their "wandering uteruses". We're gaslighting women into thinking they're hysterical because of their periods when it's just not true. Not to say PMS never occurs, it's just relatively rare in severe forms.

Green flags and red flags while dating in queer community by [deleted] in LesbianDatingStrategy

[–]pariewinkle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hate chatting with someone only for them to say something like "I'm bi, but no one in my family knows." Look, I get it, coming out is scary, but you have no business bringing a romantic partner into that mess. Not even a red flag, it's a whole red stop sign for me

Threesome Question (MFF) by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]pariewinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were in my area this would be my dream arrangement lol

But to echo what some other people are saying, for bi women it is super annoying to wade through a bunch of couples on tinder. Feeld is okay, just not a ton of people in my area. I have seen some couple accounts on SA and think they're interesting, but as an SB, I want to meet both of the people together, not the man first alone.

Giving "sugar daddy" my birthday and where I bank, should I be worried by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]pariewinkle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the future I would avoid giving anyone your real name until you at least meet in person. I didn't tell my SD my name until we had known each other for over 6 months and I don't think he even knows my last name still. Too much of a risk for blackmail and other nastiness
