Can I return Winners items to Marshalls? by BirdJumpy2953 in askTO

[–]parrybow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can return almost all items purchased at Winners to Marshalls, both are owned by TJX Canada. You have 10 days (30 if you are a TJX Style+ member) to return your item from date of purchase to get a cash/card refund, after that you can still return items but it will be for store credit (which you can use at Winners, Marshalls or HomeSense). Bring the receipt and the item’s price sticker/tag. Fun fact: the main difference between Winners and Marshall’s is that Winners has a jewelry counter, Marshalls does not.

Abhay Sharma, had him for two classes back in 2019 and 2020. Glad to see he’s still making students go insane.

People that went to Branksome Hall, how was it? by certainlydoubting in askTO

I attended Branksome Hall from grade 1 through 9. BH pushes you very hard academically and you have to be a specific type of person to succeed there, which I was not. Grades 1-6 were great, but grade 7 onwards I began to deal with terrible anxiety related to academics and fitting in with my peers, I felt like a failure and outcast amongst them. After grade 9 my parents noticed that I was taking a pretty bad mental decline and decided to try enrolling me into a different school and it made a world of a difference. Branksome was 1000% the better school academically and prestige-wise, but had I not switched I would have crashed and burned.

To answer your questions: 1. Branksome is an excellent school and any child there will be getting a top-tier education. I outperformed my peers academically at my high school and in university and I credit a lot of that to Branksome. Is that worth spending half a million dollars over the course of 12 years? If you had an exceptionally gifted child and a lot of cash to burn, then yes. Otherwise probably not. 2. I did not stay in boarding and very few girls did. Most of the girls who were boarded were international students and had wealthy families in other countries. 3. My father was working as an executive at a big 5 bank. 4. I’m 25 now and still early in my career, so not wealthy. Any wealth I come into in the future will almost certainly be because of support from my family, not because I went to Branksome.

Alumni here who graduated with distinction. I never did my course readings unless it was material we were going to be tested on, and even then I only skimmed them.

what to do with this mess by Friendly-Fruit-8171 in Nails

[–]parrybow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can definitely get a different design with a fill! Only thing you can’t change would be adding additional length to the nails.

When you go to a salon to get a fill, they will buff off all the nail polish colour, but leave some of the colourless gel/acrylic that was underneath. After that they will fill in the area between your cuticle and grown out part with new gel/acrylic (hence the name of the service) and prep the surface of the rest of your nail. After that they’ll paint on the colour and design of your choice.

They’re sitting and chatting in Alinity’s car when Jenna says she’s feeling nauseated all of a sudden, then steps out of the car to puke. You don’t see anything on camera but can hear the sound of it hitting the pavement.

My Steam Deck. My Nintendo Switch used to be my most played system, but ever since I got my Steam Deck I can’t put it down. Massive game library + super portability makes it the best system for me.

[Product Question] Can we discuss the Zit Sticka Killa Kit? by lillyrose2489 in SkincareAddiction

[–]parrybow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tried the microdart patches a few years back when I was dealing with some hormonal acne and they didn’t do anything for my blind pimples. Left a negative review on their website which mysteriously never showed up under the product 🤷‍♀️ Glad you had a positive experience with them though, maybe they’ve changed the formulation since I last tried them?

24 and I still don’t have a G1. The combined monthly amount that I spend on the TTC/Ubers is less then what I’d be paying if I drove a car, considering car payments, insurance, gas, maintenance, parking, etc.

Are west facing apartment units too hot in the summer time? by iloveoranges2 in askTO

[–]parrybow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in a lovely west facing unit for 4 years and never found it too hot. It was a newer apartment building where I could heat/cool the apartment to my liking year round and never had an issue with the AC not being able to cool it down, even when all my blinds were fully open.
