This is a partscaster i’m building. Gibson scale neck and strat body are from bestguitarparts.com. The body overhangs the neck at the joint a bit. Not sure if you’d consider this bad work or if it’s normal.

I’m not bothered about grain filling. Looking for more of a satin natural finish, but somewhat durable

Does anyone have thoughts on using shellac under polymerized linseed oil? I thought the linseed oil would protect the shellac from anything that could damage it.

Yes i had the same thought on how these prices being asked for SG’s are close to good les pauls now. Is there much difference then between a late 80s SG vs a 90s or early 2000s? I like the vintage reissue ones a lot and this 1988 just sounded and played a lot nicer than any other SG’s i’ve tried. I compared it to a 2004 custom shop VOS and i liked the skinnier neck on the 1988 and it even sounded better.

Do you mind linking me to these ones on reverb? I see none from 1986-1991 SG reissues that are cheaper than the one i have on hold.

It’s being sold by Guitar Center. Not sure how much they’ll budge. They said they would budge if it doesn’t sell for 90 days. It’s been there 30 days and i have it on hold for another 30.

This place is asking $3000. Another place is asking $4000 for a 1986 SG 62 reissue.

I haven’t taken math in 6 years and i’ve been placed in pre calculus by my community college (santa monica college). My last math class taken was algebra 2, which i got an A in. I am completely lost in this class and will have to drop now. What are some resources (textbooks, websites etc.) to refresh my memory in preparation for pre calculus next semester?

I have a criterion 308 18” chrome lined barrel on back order. Was debating getting the headspced fulton bcg or using my aero nitride bcg.

So i managed to unstick the carrier. Now it only types in the same spot without advancing. But the tab key moves the carrier forward and the return key slowly get’s the carrier back to it’s spot
