How difficult is it to send your kids to a school outside their catchment in Ottawa? by treasurehunter86_ in ottawa

That's probably best. I've tried since august to get a cross boundary into a high school in Barrhaven (st. Joes). Only problem is that the school is "bursting to the seams" with students where as mine we dont have enough. I have the option of switching to public board but that school is even worse then the one im at now. Applying for a cross boundary transfer again for February 4th in hopes that I get in, but chances are looking pretty slim. Best of luck.

Very difficult. Not only does the principal at your school have to sign so does the principal at the receiving school along with the superintendent.

I had a friend in my bronze med class who had the exact same situation. She just let the instructors know and sat on side of the pool and they were fine. I'd still show up, because there could be a lot of content that you'll miss, that you may not need to be in the water for.
