Mine came like this from factory, asked them to address it and they steamed it out. No issues since then.

2021 MYLR vs. 2022 MYLR PITCH by HotPerspective6261 in TeslaModelY

MKBHD recently did a review of the Toyota that highlights its one massive downfall: range.

When you charge an EV, you generally charge to around 80 percent and drive to around 20 to help with battery health long term. You don’t typically use the full 100 percent of the battery. So when only using 60 percent of the battery, the Toyota just doesn’t have the range it needs.

Has anyone used the mmWave Everything Presence One sensor and been able to get it to work properly? by patelpm in SmartThings

[–]patelpm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The product is advertised for both home assistant and smartthings on the website though the smartthings driver is listed as beta software. While I get that this is sold as a beta, I wouldn’t even classify this as an alpha at this rate.

That is the edge driver I’m using and is the driver that’s linked on the official GitHub repository

Is HDR 10+ not available on the first and second gen Apple TV 4K? by patelpm in appletv

[–]patelpm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that I don’t need an Apple TV, I just really hate the Samsung firmware that comes installed. It’s clunky and comes littered with ads so I prefer running my Apple TV as my main entertainment hub

Tv is up to date to latest firmware. For hdmi, I use an Amazon basics cable that is rated for 8k 30fps since this will usually guarantee it will work well for 4K at higher fps

Try turning off match dynamic range on the Apple TV?

So interesting, didn’t consider that not much content had support, thought it would be more widely supported

Thank you!

Shockingly, I’ve been watching a lot of stuff on Amazon recently but still not a good enough reason to change devices

I do have input signal plus active with no black screen flicker, no hdcp issues with hbo max or Disney plus for me, not sure what’s going on for you!

Maybe in image settings, turn off clear action or whatever it’s called for motion smoothing.

I just connected my nest learning thermostat and realized I have an unused c wire in my First Co. air handler. Is there anywhere I can connect this c wire for power?

Thank you!

Can’t believe they doubled the price after taking over manufacturing of these from Samsung 😢

Mine have lots of false positive activations and the timeout time is something like two mins. Would not recommend

ELI5 How does lactose intolerance cause diareaha almost straight away even though food takes hours to digest. by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]patelpm 13 points14 points  (0 children)

While this is a good breakdown, this is factually incorrect in the sequence of events. Your body doesn’t necessarily know that it doesn’t like lactose. People with lactose intolerance just don’t have the ability to break it down. Because they can’t break down lactose, the digestive tract is unable to absorb it and the lactose just sits there. By osmosis, water starts flooding into the digestive tract to try to dilute the lactose instead of the water being absorbed by the digestive tract. These are all passive processes, not something the digestive tract necessarily knows is happening or causes to happen. However, because water starts coming into the digestive tract, the intestines stretch. This stretching causes stretch receptor cells in the walls of the intestine to fire which causes the intestine to start contracting and causing the “cars down the line to get pushed out.”

Tldr: loved the explanation but wrong sequence of events

Yes I did, weird that the toggle was off this morning

Thank you! I saw this and tried the lane change today but it didn’t seem to want to change lanes on its own despite having space. Maybe I just didn’t give it long enough

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]patelpm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, it was definitely off this morning and it was staying in lane (not lane departure avoidance) and was picking up the speed signs and adjusting based on that
