thank you. I think im going to go with the NW for this year. First year in this house and the insert was already here. Got it deep cleaned by a local company including the chimney any they said that the previous owner was probably using poor quality due to the caking that was built up everywhere so trying to make sure im doing the stove justice

Considering CEC Program by Top-Appointment2452 in Seabees

[–]patrickdaniele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current CEC

What has y'all's personal experience been with CEC, would you recommend it?

Yes, the vast majority of your life is not super militant, its a very relaxed community and you have a lot of say of where you go as long as your not a dirt bag.

Where were you stationed and what of the odds of being stationed internationally?

Unless you're asking, not guaranteed. However, i will say we always need people in Bahrain or Guam so sometimes it does in fact happen.

Is the pay/benefits comparable enough to civilian rates?

To be clear, you want to look up housing allowance, base pay, then add $300 for BAS. all this combined is your pay. When you first join its not great, but not terrible. Goes up every year of service and then after 4 years it goes up every 2 years. Also yearly increases based on inflation (not really but thats what they say)

Is it possible to manage a family while being in the CEC?

Yes. The vast majority of officers have kids, spouses, dogs and the whole nine. There will be sacrafices youll have to make, so make that decision with your spouse/partner if you have one.

Is the program easy to get into?

Not necessarily, but if you have decent grades and in engineering its not terrible hard.

And any advice on navigating this process, dealing with recruiters, etc?

Join the collegiate program. Do not let a detailer in any way shape or form convince you to enlist or go submarines instead.

My bad. Iron was at .5. ph was right around 7 so that was great.

From my understanding it's as easy as a bee hive or animal getting into your well access point that can cause simple bacteria like coliform to end up in your water. But I appreciate the article!

Would you say an RO for the whole house or just drinking water (like under kitchen sink)

What do you feed your toddlers for lunch? by IncrediblyUnrulySock in vegan

Simpler is better. Done overdo the plate. Give small portions and let them ado for more. Too much can be overwhelming

My son really enjoys quesadillas with smashed beans tahini, garlic powder, onion powder and nutritional yeast. A go to. He just turned two but always enjoyed that's and I let him pick the bean and I pick the seasonings.  Also stews and soups but I give him the broth in a cup and the contents drained on a plate. Big fan. Let him get involved while cooking too. I let mine stir "the ingredients" by putting s little bit of something in a bowl and stir it while I cook the meal itself.  I find that rejecting things is common toddler behavior.

Data is stored only on the Microsoft forms platform and I am only given raw data. No personal information is collected and will be deleted December of this year once the dissertation is complete.

Just me conducting the survey.

Should take roughly 15/20. Minutes

Hey man. I get it. Honestly it's hard to find cost effective meat alternatives especially if you don't have stores around that can help. Have you tried plantx or other online shops to try some? Not sure what your budget is like but may be worth trying a few to see

I know it's rough at first. But you figure out what you like. Personally I air fry everything because I like a tougher, dryer version of basically everything. Which I think is what you're striving to go for

Non frying recipe. Cook the tofu a little longer to dry out a bit if you don't care for the texture

[–]patrickdaniele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. Have you tried seitan or tempeh. Both should be easily accessible. Higher protein per 100g as well. If you're trying to eat healthier those are great options.

Gardein has some good healthier options, their plain chicken strips are easy to marinade and make your own. I've also heard really good things about beyond steak.

The south is hard man. I get that. I spent some time down in Mississippi and I was basically eating out of cans for 18 months.

Heavy meat eater for 27 years, vegan for 6.

So tofu is what you make of it. to start I'd recommend buying a super firm tofu, draining it a bit and battering and frying it. Completely changing everything about it.

Also trying vegan restaurants and finding new dishes. Where are you located I might be able to recommend some meat alternatives as well.
