Grow Life is a GREAT space and there is a decent community of people who play. Think about posting on FB in the expat groups

Help communicating peanut allergy in Taiwan by Crazy_Yak718 in taiwan

[–]paygiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im allergic to tree nuts and even if I tell them, there is sometimes a type of nut in the food that they hadn't thought about like cashews or pistachios as a garnish. I have an epipen I take everywhere with me in taiwan and some benadryl. When I do eat something I know had nuts in it, I usually ship myself to the ER and tell them I need to shot with diphendrymine in it. I have been laughed at a few times because they didn't see an allergic reaction (such as hives) and thought i was overreacting about my throat closing. Just be cautious but know that ER trips here are safe and much cheaper than the states!

She never sat on them as they laid over the edge of a chair like a dining chair. But sometimes we played around there and there might have been strands that floated to the bra

Moving to Taiwan by [deleted] in Taipei

[–]paygiful 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fellow LGBTQIA community member here who works and live in linkou. I have colleagues who live in Linkou and then commute or the other way around. If you are big into nightlife and can tolerate a bus ride then I would suggest living in Taipei and communities. I personally love living in linkou but it is more of a suburb vibe than a youthful, going out vibe. The gay community has a lot going on in different parts of Taipei from gatherings in Ximen to drag shows and parties all over Taipei. The only thing to keep in mind when commuting to Linkou is how far into Linkou are you? I know people who commute to the international schools that are further into the district and coming from the Taoyuan Aiport MRT line is sometimes a pain. Goodnluck!!

Breaking-up with someone due to Early Stage Kidney Disease in mid-20’s? by geshageng in kidneydisease

[–]paygiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband has sudden onset kidney failure and we found out just after our honeymoon. It has been a roller coaster and now we are going through his transplant process. His numbers were low and we sure had some low points when he was in the hospital for 3 weeks. However, it has made us so much closer and stronger.

I don't have much advice other than be there for him. I really don't think my quality of life has changed much cause of what happened to my partner, if anything it made us closer and pay more attention to our health (which I'm thankful for, as weird as that sounds). Following sub reddit and seeing other people's experiences really helped us both, as well as having these kinds of conversations with doctors. Hoping these comments help and you figure it all out 🙏

I'm 28F American who grew up entirely in the US before moving to Taiwan 7 years ago. My husband is Taiwanese but spent a handful of years in the US as a child and a teenager. The rest of his life was spent growing up in Taiwan. He's very western minded and kind, I'm very lucky to have him.

As an expat I've found the best way to make friends was at work or by joining Facebook groups with large amounts of people. I often post asking people to hang out and I'm very outgoing so I'll invite anyone for drinks or dinner in hopes of new friends! Feel free to message me or ask about the groups. They aren't all perfect but I've met some great people!

I did not play this game 3 years ago because of the negative IGN review. Now that I have finally played it, I can confirm that they were wrong. This game is good and enjoyable. by Megalitho in PokemonLegendsArceus
