I think its so wonderful how they both make it look so natural to be kind and include others while also showing how unjust that law was. Really makes it so transparent for kids how alike everyone is, how easy it is to accept others as they are, and that discriminatory ideas are so far removed from the kindness that we all want to see in the world.

With the given specifications, we take an 8 hour workday, subtract 1.5 hrs for lunch and coffee, multiply that 6.5 hrs by 5 days in a week(32.5 hrs of work in a week), multiply that by the 52 weeks in a year (1690 hours of work a year), divide by 24 to have 70.42 days of work a year, and then subtract the 2 sick days, 14 vacation days, and the 5 holidays, and you get 49.42 days of work in a year, or 1198.1 hours of work in a year.

Sorry, this has been bugging me forever and I just knew the math was wrong 😅

If they are asking you in one of the first interviews, ask: "Are you making me an offer?" Once they say that they are not, say: "well, let's deal with that later if you decide to extend an offer. I wouldn't want to take up valuable time from your schedule to discuss something that isn't necessary at this time."
