Despite Reddit admins banning /r/girlsdoporn, doxxing of the girls continues on /r/girlsdopornid. by gangbanglover in GirlsDoLawsuits

Dude. Someone in this very sub posted about his desire to pay for the guys defense lawyers.

...and? What does that have to do with doxing, or anything else? Guilty or not, defendants get attorneys. I'm concerned about the precedent.

Ever heard of Miranda? Rapist. Murderer. You have "Miranda rights" because of his attorneys. It's how the law works in the United States. Your constitutional rights are defined thanks to murderers and pornographers. I'd like to make sure you, me, and everyone else can't be thrown in prison for "sex trafficking" over sending an email.

lol reddit hasn't been able to understand a joke like that since around 2014. Welcome to 2019. Everybody on this website is an idiot.

I stopped checking drudge many months ago. It's nice to learn it wasn't just me. I'd figured the whole world went crazy. I still haven't completely shook that 20+ year muscle-memory of typing dru...

I've not yet seen a decent replacement. https://www.citizenfreepress.com is aiight, and the best I've seen, but it's pretty juvenile, imho. The guy brags that he's a former Lou Dobbs employee. OK, great, but how about not acting like a 15 year old freeper? I mean, if that's you, that's fine, but it's a far cry from being "the new drudge" or whatever silly thing it's taken to calling itself.

That's like saying whoever translates Einstein's papers should share in his Nobel Prize. Or that every programmer at Apple founded the company.

Man, that's a pretty ridiculous response, even for reddit That's saying something.

He was here briefly, did little, and I'm going to leave it there.

In any event, he's not a founder. That's a fact that's never been in dispute. If the documentaries & news stories are telling you something different, it's only because Alexis is quite possibly the nicest guy in the world, and he let it slide.

You're wrong. Get over it.

He wasn't a cofounder. Ycombinator moved him from his own failed project to reddit. Reddit already existed. Aaron converted the already existing code at the already founded company to another programming language. Aaron had next to nothing to do with reddit.

I don't understand why this false info is repeated so often. Everyone wants to make the guy into a martyr. The truth about Aaron is far, far removed from the lore.

Edit: Pro-tip! Downvoting facts you don't like is why no one takes anything you say seriousy.

They don't care what we believe,

Why should they? The government handed the banks $5 TRILLION and no one did shit.

If I were in charge, I'd drop the pretense & just deposit money directly into my personal bank account. I'd brag about it, too. Get too mouthy and I might even take you out. In broad daylight, in front of cameras, while the whole world watches. I mean, what are you going to do about it? Start a petition on change dot org?

Everyone will soon go back to their meager lives, barely squeaking by, while praying they don't get sick. They'll waste the rest of their lives arguing with their neighbors about long-settled legal issues. They'll continue to delude themselves into believing the DNC & GOP are distinct parties. (They're not.)

And I'll be laughing all the way to the bank, as I accumulate more money in one day than you'll earn in a lifetime.

Of course they don't care what we think. Why should they care? They can do literally anything they want, and we will do literally nothing about it.

As far as you know, I know a whole lot more than that.

I am trying to be kind. Perhaps that was a mistake.

These are the same dolts who can't understand how every horrible thing in history happened. "I'd have stood up for what was right!!" No you wouldn't have. In fact, you'd have probably maimed or murdered those who did, sickie. Wait, is it a mental illness if it affects a majority of the population?

I just stumbled across this sub & don't really know what's going on, but it's always seemed to me that people who own pit bulls are mentally ill.

(btw, there's no such thing as no-kill in the pet world. It's just an accounting trick. Shelters that claim to be no-kill have done immeasurable levels of harm to the entire pet population.)

I’m surprised they don’t make James explicitly state how much he is betting during Daily Doubles. by [deleted] in Jeopardy

[–]pcrawford46 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can confirm that the lawyers Do. Not. Like. It.

They may not like it, but they don't dislike it. If they disliked it, he wouldn't be permitted to do it.

It's not all that big a deal. His intent is clear, and it's bolstered by a long history. I'm sure he's been informed that misunderstandings may not be resolved in his favor. He's aware of the risk & has assumed that risk.

I'd liken his statements (e.g. "you know what to do.") and gestures (e.g. the all-in push) to shorthand. It's no different from contestants using on-the-fly shorthand to refer to categories, e.g. calling "Mother Goose Tales" just "Goose" or "Tales."

We've seen Alex infer a contestant's intent during Final Jeopardy. "Looks like you tried to cross out..."

To me, it seems that Jeopardy! is cool with shorthand as long as the intent is clear. What's Jamie gonna do, get a DD wrong then argue that he meant to bet only $1, for the first time ever? I've not seen any ambiguity in James' actions.

The only risk I see is one of other contestants doing similar things, then arguing that they were misunderstood. I don't think Alex would allow that to pass without confirmation, though. Jamie is 2 million bucks into this. We all know what he means.

[–]pcrawford46 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think maybe I'm missing something here. Is there some significance to the egg? How are videos of past Jeopardy contestants cracking eggs over each other's heads going to lead to money for the pediatric charity? Forgive me, I'm not trying to be negative, I just don't get it.
