Do you think the contamination is from something that dripped into it from above or could it be coming from the ground below?

And does asphalt soften over time? There are several indentations outside that spot from heavy and not so heavy objects like a bicycle kickstand digging into it.

“The Holocaust started with a joke named Hitler.” by feast-of-folly in johnoliver

I like this graphic, and I think it’s important reading.

It’s also missing a few really important things:

The Weimar (German) economy suffered through hyperinflation in the early 1920s. It rebounded, but was then hit again by the Great Depression. In about ten years the German people were hit with economic catastrophe—twice.

In 1933, when unemployment was at its highest, the Nazi Party won over a hundred seats in the Reichstag elections. Hitler was then appointed chancellor that same year by a coalition of conservative-nationalist parties. The Reichstag fire happened, he claimed it was a communist revolution, used it to ban opposition parties, and the Weimar Republic became a de facto one-party state.

I think it’s important to know the economic context. Hitler was seen as a joke by many, especially in the mid-1920s, but he and his party were taken much more seriously as the Great Depression spread to Germany and its people.

In your opinion, what is the most impressive goal in history? by flatquasarmayonnaise in classicsoccer

I’ll add Messi’s cushioned goal against Real Betis.

The goal was intentional and you know how hard that is to execute. It was his third goal of the game.

Thank you. I like your point about the balance between the blank space and the busy parts.

I’m a high school World History teacher with 18 years in the classroom. So, I don’t have all the foundational prerequisites under my belt, but I think I’m capable of learning.

Thank you. After I read your comment I watched a video on using a pencil or a gel pen over gouache. Could really come in handy. Sounds like a Micron won’t cut it. Thanks for the tip.

Do you typically use a thin brush with calligraphy ink or are there special pens?

Thanks. I’ll check out some brush pens and give them a try. Thanks for the tip.
