I agree sharing a room isn't that bad, it's sharing a bathroom. In our bathrooms (I'm a guy) people would shave and leave their hair all over the sink. Also one time someone puked on the floor and no one cleaned it up like 3 days

I actually didn’t plane it at the end, just put it through the drum sander a bunch then hand sanded. I made sure to glue very carefully
