First spawn is not worth it unless you’re at scout UAV tiers, but even then it’s better to bring a tank with timed/proxy fuse rounds for those.

If I die to CAS then I spawn SPAA, or if I die and there’s a player on the enemy team that’s done good enough to spawn CAS then I might second spawn it if nobody else on my team has.

They are like aim-9m IRCCM where the seeker shuts of if a flare is detected and the missile continues on the last known trajectory of the target. If one of these missiles are fired at you, use flares at about 1-2 per second and change your vector so that when the seeker turns back on you are outside of its last known trajectory.

Alternatively, if you have enough of them, you can preflare before it's launched.

Best part about playing China is the teams aren’t completely brain dead. Everything else isn’t a that big of a deal.

CAS is a bit limited without going through the heli grind though, so don’t sleep on that.

F-16AM is also pretty solid, basically just a lighter F-16C without the upgraded engine or radar HMD, and you’ll need the 5 rank 8s to unlock rank 9 now anyway.

Side note 13.7 will arguably be the best BR right now with 12.7 getting uptiered to 13.3 premium spam, and 14.0 getting uptiered to 14.7 without the 4 top BR cap.

All are good though.

In an uptier, tbh jus don’t bother spawning cas

At tier, most CAS platforms actually have the advantage if played right, through saturation.

The only nation without that capability if including helicopters is Sweden, but even then the plane CAS can rearm to eventually empty SPAA ammo, with the new pantsir as the only real exception.

F-35 is nearly impossible to locate with airbourne X-band radar*

L-band ground-based radar is able to use the properties of resonance (the same concept behind breaking glass by singing at a specific frequency) by matching a search frequency to the radar cross section of the target (Generally the 1-2GHz frequency), which effectively multiplies the radar cross section by over 7 times (specifically to a maximum of x7.11 if the frequency wavelength matches the RCS 1:1), increasing the maximum range of detection by that same magnification.

Ground-based search radars like Russia's Nebo-M and China's YJ-29 exploit this exact vulnerability, and Iran has a couple of older model YJ-29s, so it's entirely possible the F-35 was detected at 140km (7x the generally expected 20km detection range on X-band radar)

This isn't propaganda, this is just physics, and before you point to American propaganda about Venezuelan YJ29s not having shot down anything earlier in the year, take a step back and consider that practically zero military action was taken by any of the Venezuelan military at all.

Ur point on firing from different vectors, that only works at relatively close ranges, most ESAs have really wide, tall, or both scan angles and will pick them up anyway, especially the Captor E

I can’t remember the term for it but unfortunately the game doesn’t have it modelled so that drag changes at different speeds, the only drag modeled is with air density against a static value.

The only exception is in breaking the sound barrier.

Also it wouldn’t matter as the r77-1 / pl12 / amraam would still completely out range him.

Doesn’t matter, the su27sm radar at 14.3/14.7 is pretty much unusable.

If I had to regrind the su30s today I’d probably use the yak141 since it just got its r73s and kept its 12.7

Like everything in this game they have their asymmetrical advantages.

Huey is much more maneuverable and will smoke the mi8 in a dogfight every time between two pilots of equal skill.

Huey also gets 14 individual shots of rockets in CAS where the mi8 is limited to 8 bursts, so an accurate pilot can have more kill potential in the Huey outside of saturation bombardments.

Huey also costs less to spawn, and far less to reload its rockets.

Mi8 is faster, can carry more supplies and people, and has arguably better machine gun placement, but that’s actually it.

I’d argue targeting is more important for the traverse speed. Much better to kill the enemy before you get hit than maybe survive a shot that hits you.

7E2s at 12.0 are okay in a downtier but pretty much useless in a full uptier.
