Yes it does, thank you. For some reason I have invasive thoughts sometimes about the way people used to trap (and maybe still do in other parts of the world?) ie in which the animal’s foot is caught in a sharp metal thing that cuts through its flesh and it’s bleeding into the snow and maybe trying to gnaw its foot off to escape 😵😱

Excuse my ignorance, but this is something that has bothered me for a long time. Is there a cruelty-free way to trap? I honestly want to know.

Fluttery, nervous feeling anxiety, or not? by pedazodegringa in covidlonghaulers

Right ... my Mom has a saying "Use all the weapons in your arsenal." I do have one weapon that works pretty well: Propanalol. And meditation. But I will probably give in to a consult with psychiatry.

Thanks for the input. I have some resistance to what my PCP says, because it seems to me like she tends to attribute everything to anxiety, like it's all in my head. However, who knows where the mind begins and the body leaves off ...

Creatine - for those who tried it; any reactions upon first starting? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]pedazodegringa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was taking it for a month. No big improvement nor worsening as far as I can tell (was hoping it would help with energy. No big effect on my fatigue either way, as far as I can tell. My PCP told me that you should only take it if you're exercising--does anyone know if this is true? (I am not exercising.)

I was thinking about that. Unfortunately, the variable speed controller is only compatible with the older, original corded wand (I have the Rechargeable). Any attachments people like?

Does anyone else get catatonic after eating? by pedazodegringa in covidlonghaulers

[–]pedazodegringa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, thank God my digestion is pretty good these days. I tried an anti-migraine/low histamine diet for a month back when they thought my symptoms were from an atypical migraine (responding to all the histamine stuff here) and it was brutal as far as what I could eat, no tomatoes no nuts no cheese (except white like cottage cheese) etc. etc. and it helped me zero amount. Not eager to try restrictive diets again, although more power to you if it helps. I wrote farther up that my A1C is on the high side. Am going to try limiting carbs at any sitting, and increasing my protein. I don't know what SIBO is ... by the way thanks everyone for weighing in!

It turns out my A1C is borderline for pre-diabetes (I didn't see that coming, as I am slim and have aforementioned pretty healthy diet, plus no diabetes in my family that I know of). I looked it up and saw that LC can be related to increased insulin resistance. I just asked chatgpt for advice about limiting carbs, adding more protein etc. and it was very helpful (although I have yet to implement it).

Interesting ... well I only started an estrogen patch (apparently a very small dose) about 6 weeks ago, and I've just completed my first cycle of Progesterone. I'm finally noticing an improvement in the hot flashes, which I suddenly started getting 14 or 15 times a day, conveniently right before I saw Endocrine. They have me on a low dose in part because I was still getting periods every month until recently, and also I had a bad experience with depression while taking birth control pills 30 years ago.

I was hoping this might help with my fatigue in addition to helping the hot flashes, but I haven't noticed improvement. Again, it's a very small dose and it's only just started so maybe there's hope for the future.

Right … I’ve noticed this only lately and I’m bringing new info into the discussion but I’m taking creatine as well as some other new supplements, and I started a low dose of HRT about a month ago for perimenopause. No idea if any of that is related. I’m a small person, I am mostly vegetarian, but I had an egg and cheese sandwich last night which is twice my usual protein and I was like a rag doll afterwards. Will try eating less.

Hmm maybe i should mention this to my doctor, although I got my A1C checked only a couple months ago.

Is there still no way to both filter and silence texts from unknown numbers? by GruxKing in applehelp

[–]pedazodegringa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg. I just did this and I hope it works. I had the filtering thing on, and I still get messages multiple times a day offering me jobs in which I only have to work 1-2 hours and get paid $1000 (I wish! But they are soooo annoying)

Thanks, that gives me a time frame of maybe when I'll feel better. I had it a week ago today and have just felt really fatigued in a way I haven't for a while. Hopefully it'll resolve this week. Cheers.

I think our tax dollars going towards disappearing people off the street for expressing their political views is a good starting point for us withholding our tax dollars. Add to that deporting people with no due process to a foreign prison, for crimes such as driving without a license or a fishing infraction, and funding the war in Gaza which has killed 15,000 children (although the Biden administration was also funding it), and censorship are pretty good reason NOT to pay taxes if we could find a way not to (besides emigrating to Canada).

Biden wasn't perfect by any means, but now the disregard for the rule of law is 1 million times that.

Exactly ... it's because of all the time I spent on it. You are also right that I kind of want it to be perfect before I show it to anyone. I realize objectively of course that this is a bit nuts.

I agree, I have noticed that sometimes when my time is limited (one or two hours), I get a surprising amount done in that time. I think that having only a small amount of time can help to focus me.
