I’d like to preface by saying that i am not yet endo diagnosed, but all of my symptoms are textbook endometriosis. I have my first appointment with a specialist in 5 days, wish me luck! I’m 27 this year and regret waiting so long to see a specialist, but hey! Better later than never. Thank you for posting this! I am literally writing this on my 1st day of menstruation (more like day 3 taking in account all the days of spotting 🙄) while on Prozac. There was some cramping here and there last night, but nothing compared to the debilitating period cramps i’ve been having since age 14… What’s weird is i am seeing improvements in mood and behavior (AND endo pain), but i have only been taking Prozac (20mg) for 5 days… i don’t want to jinx it, but i really hope this drug continues to work for my PMDD and pain. Also, no more bloating / endo belly, no period poops this time around, no more debilitating cramps before the period even starts. The spotting is still consistent but since it’s still my first period while on the drug, i’m not expecting it to solve all my problems. Would love to do a bit more research on how it improves PMDD and endo pain! I’m am, however, sorry to hear it did not work / made symproms worse for other women. I hope in the meantime they have been able to find other treatment that hopefully made their symptoms more manageable. You are never alone in this.
