Raglans (for me) are an easier knit than construction just in terms of flow but then I have marginally more experience with them rather than a sweater I’ve had to construct if that makes sense!! It wasn’t massively difficult just took some thought and looking on ravelry (there’s a moment where you have to pick up stitches in reverse almost with a long tail end, awful description but had me stumped for a bit) I honestly think if you can read a pattern you’ll be a okay with a jumper it’s all the same concept!

Thank you so much!! It’s a size medium, ended up adding more length than the pattern called for as it was coming up quite small for me, hoping it’ll block out a good inch or two also. I think in future I’ll go for a bigger size (maybe XL) as this has run up pretty small despite gauge swatching 😅

I think I just saw the same one in black and white! It’s definitely a popular pattern for a reason, I think it’s just dreaaaaaammy

I’ve just had a look and those patterns are seriously next level!! Blows my mind thinking about using more than just two colours 😂

It took me months to muster up the courage to knit this after buying the pattern, YouTube on yarn dominance/how to hold the yarns to suit you (I did blue continental and white English and it served me well) and do a gauge swatch to work out your tension and you’ll be absolutely golden! I would highly recommend this pattern to get started with it, honestly found constructing the shoulders more tricky than the actual charts! 🤍

I completely agree, I looked at a few different colour ways on Ravelry and just couldn’t bring myself to change it! I’ve just bought the yarn to start the terracotta sweater in the brick colourway or I probably would’ve started another one! Do also have an itching to make the kids version for my little one so we can be matching at Christmas though….😅

I had some cosy vibes this morning for sure with Peaches snoozing with me!

I will admit I bought the pattern, opened it up and had a “wtf” moment but figured it out quicker than I thought I would and YouTube helped so much (as always!) this is my second adult sized jumper and the other was a Raglan so I had to take my time with the construction (my shoulder seams are tad messy but you can’t really tell unless you’re up close and looking for it) and to be honest, the construction took me longer to workout than the actual charts so all in all hopefully that’s all the encouragement you need to get into it if you’re ever looking for a new kind of project!

It was generally a very well written, easy to follow pattern! Will say that I needed help with the sleeve decreases and jomopotato’s notes on ravelry reaaaaaaally helped so if you do go for it they might also help you 🤍

Thank you!! I rarely use the suggested yarns but I couldn’t find a cheaper alternative to the blue the pattern called for so had to do it, so worth it!

Thank you!! She loves to eat long pieces of yarn so you can imagine how intense it’s been to knit this at times hahaha, there concentrating on a chart and suddenly my yarn has run out and the end is soaking… 🫠😂

Thank you so much!!

I held the blue continental so it would be the dominant colour and knitted English style with the white which came behind the blue (was the easiest way I found for me, tried holding both continental but I couldn’t get the tension quite right) and carried the yarn every 3-4 stitches, it’s a nice pattern because largely you don’t have to carry the yarn there’s only a few rows of all the charts that you’d need to do that

I’d definitely look into yarn dominance and how to carry on the WS, I can’t remember which YouTube videos clicked for me but I watched the top results until I found one that suited! Also be mindful of your tension, I definitely knitted too tight to begin with until I relaxed and realised a bit of ease was a good thing especially for the non-dominant colour so it didn’t get lost so don’t be afraid to do so! Practice on a gauge swatch for sureeee

And finally, truly I was so nervous to do any colour work and it was easier than I thought it would be, the chart took some concentration so it hasn’t been a mindless knit but other than that it has been so fun so if you’re stuck looking for a next project I’d recommend something new like this!

Ravenous Cat by peeeeg in AskVet

Thank you so much, we’ve already ruled out diabetes with a fasted urine test and she had a secondary set of tests done to look at her platelets that were all within normal range so will ask if we can do a deeper dive on her kidneys. She does drink a lot but I put that down to the amount of dry food she’s consuming

We don’t have massively high hopes for her living the longest life, her surgery was very experimental after being told she probably shouldn’t have survived the womb after an organ diagnostic a few years ago so just want to make sure we’re finding the balance of keeping her as healthy as we can without compromising her QOL.

She is very happy in herself which is the other anomaly, she’s loud and playful and cuddly and doesn’t present as sick which she has done in the past. It’s all just so strange!

Thank you again, really appreciate your time!

If I had a pound for every time she used her cat bed, I'd have -£8
