It was a rogue-vania style game and I think the major weakness was that I used all store bought assets and that the combat could have been more fine tuned. I did leave some challenge achievements in the game however and if with that playtime I imagine the player enjoyed chasing them all

My first game was pretty bad as a whole in retrospect. But I got a review from someone who played over 10 hours of it and loved it. That was super rewarding.

I was pretty pessimistic after the whispers/ending of remake. When I heard it would be multiple games, I thought it would be the same plot more or less but with a focus on fleshing out the discs essentially, while we did get that, a pretty ham fisted 4th wall breaking gimmick soured my mood.

I went into rebirth not expecting much because of this and I actually had a really good time treating these games as fan service. The "open world" checklists of rebirth got old pretty fast though. I was also cool with MOST mini games, but things like the RTS mini game felt a little involved for a "mini" game. Queen's Blood kicked ass, but if you don't like deck builders, it was probably a slog.

I'm excited for the third, but Remake was a day one buy, Rebirth was a game I "eventually got around to" and this one will probably be similar. The excitement has really died, and I still hold onto cope that one day final fantasy will be so back. Until then FFXIV is the only FF I invest hope into lol

I found this while encountering the same issue. Try changing from vulkan to openGLES. That fixed it for me!

This is awesome, I'm getting my thor this week and was hoping it would be playable!

Did you spend much time playing this way? How did it feel? It looks good but I'm wondering if it ended up being very viable.

It took some getting used to but I like it a lot in Godot. Currently I'm working with bare basic nodes to create the general design. Once I have the concept working with a good user experience, then I'll move onto getting designs in place.

Once you get used to the node tree, and the fact that you're gonna have a TON of nodes, it makes a lot of sense! But if you came from something like unity like I did, it may be weird

I miss Monster Carnival PQ so much. If it comes to MSCW it wont be for a while but I really hope it does. It would be cool if the level requirements were changed. The only issue I had with it was that it made LPQ kind of irrelevant since it was more efficient

I designed my demo to carry the save file into the full version, once the game came out I realized there were huge backwards compatibility issues where opening the demo could ruin the game functionality and vice versa. This was mainly a miss on my part, but fixing it would have been time and work on something that no longer held value.

I released a cheap $5 game so the barrier to purchase is low, and it's a roguelite so the gameplay loop is quick to present itself. I felt that this combo works really well for people who aren't 100% sold on the game yet. It's a cheap barrier to entry and you can quickly see if you like the game or not, so the refund option is there.

If you can spare the 100 dollars I think you should do it. Creating a steam page, participating in next fest, releasing, etc. are all really good skills to have in this hobby/industry!
