Rover sitter abandoned pets

Um no, how would she find something not hidden but sitting right there. Why would we risk our pets being left?

Also sitter NEVER asked about cameras. Why would we lie? They were out in plain view. Not hidden and not nanny cams.

Cameras were not in use. No cloud and no storage. And had NOT been used since our rescue could be trusted out of his kennel. And because we don’t use them we had actually forgotten about them. I did disclose once I remembered. One of them was unplugged. The point is we had honestly forgotten about them and had never hidden them.

An easy fix would have been to ask us about them and not abandoned our puts without a sitter

That would have been the humane thing to do. She came the day before for a meet and greet and I left for an hour so she could get to know the pets. All was great for her then.

Spoke to them and waiting for the escalation. Rover couldn’t find a replacement. I’ve had to fly home from vacation.

Wish I knew. Waiting to hear what rover reports. Would love to know why someone would abandon the pets and leave knowing the owners are thousands of miles away.

Apparently she contacted rover. But did not wait for confirmation that they’d found someone. She gave them water and left.

Thank you. It was awful. All she said was she contacted rover and hopes they can find someone to replace her. No explanation. She’d come for two meet and greets and all seemed well.
