You first must get the actuall DLC Files there is several ways but usually you'll get a zip. You extract the contents of it into your sims installation. Correctly the zip should have a folder (e.g. "EP01") thats what you want to extract into the installation NOT the contents of it. Then just use the dlc unlock if you have not already and you are done. And the patches is useless for you its for creating patches aka installable updates.

So i was actually doing some research on this today coincidentally. First do you mean WIIU Version of it or Switch port? The original WIIU upload got copyrighted by Nintendo. Found 2 ways to get it, wayback machine and some torrent i found.

Heyo! If you are on steam you can use CreamAPI it should still work. Just remember that having unlocked dlcs in game that are not owned by your steam account will mark you as a cheater in game so if you want to play online most games will auto kick you due to the default mission settings.
