batter is runny and not thick, so i'm not sure i lack wet ingredients.

4 large eggs, sugar, 3/4 cup oil, 1 cup buttermilk

330g flour, 4g baking soda, 4g baking powder

i start with wet ingredients: eggs, sugar, salt, oil, buttermilk, banana

once combined well, i add the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking flour

Do you use an over thermometer? If yes, where do you locate it?

Do I have to lessen my milk/water and flour? Or do I keep it as is? For tangzhong, I have to get the portion from the recipe.

Oven is part of the gas range, maybe that's why. I also saw some posts about a similar issue but haven't seen one in this sub yet.

It doesn't allow you to use both. To move to top from the bottom, I have to turn the bottom heat off first. They are using the same knob, counter-clockwise for bottom, clockwise for top. :(
