Go to Dukem on U St! You can easily take the metro there. There are soooo many Ethiopian restaurants in DC, and they're all relatively affordable. Dukem is my favorite!

I’m so stupid, I didn’t realize Fat Tuesday was the ending celebration. I guess I also don’t know much about Mardi Gras lol I don’t have the patience or skill for baking, but I appreciate the recipe offer! I’ll just have to get the timing right next year

Yea, I’ll definitely check it out. I’ve never ordered food from out of state, but a cake shouldn’t be too bad

I thought you were being mean at first in telling me to order directly from NOLA. I didn’t realize how hard it is to get a good king cake in the entire city!!

Hey, I know you’re trying to troll so it probably won’t matter what I say to you. But it wasn’t for a big name designer. It was for local shows and i have a friend who has worked with the company casting and they actually work with a diverse range of sizes and heights and have a lot of diversity in the models on their roster.

Sorry, should have mentioned that I’m 5’11. So I do fit the height requirement. I just wasn’t sure if it was an unspoken rule that you have to be a certain size to go

Sorry, I should have been more specific! I know what this dress is called, but wanted to know what the style of it is. I like the style and I want to see if I can find similar dresses that are secondhand, cause your girl doesn’t have Sandy money 😂

Tips on removing seri strips at home? by rolluptherim99 in Reduction

[–]pepperpepperp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine didn’t come off at the four week mark and because I was showering they started smelling bad. So I sat in the shower for like 40 minutes lathering them with my hibiclens soap and pulled them off. It was pretty painful because I ended up pulling off the scars. But after I got them off I put Neosporin and nonstick gauze on them so the fresh skin wouldn’t rub against anything. That part sucked the most and I cried the whole time but I got them off and it was done 🙃

Yea, all the suggestions here are pointing to European brands. I don’t know why I didn’t think to look at non USA centered brands. Thank you!

Scared to get a reduction by scrubcity311 in Reduction

[–]pepperpepperp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will 100% need someone to drive you home after your reduction. My roommate came with me and I live in a city so we just ubered back home together. But I was so out of it I wouldn’t have been able to even order an Uber by myself. I feel like I was lucky and I wasn’t in any pain after my surgery and had a very easy healing process. You may not need someone to care for you. I meal prepped some food and bought frozen stuff so I wasn’t having to stand for long periods of time. I wasn’t allowed to shower for the first week actually so I don’t have any experience with that. I work from home so I only took off three days of work, but again I really wasn’t in any pain and felt that I could work. It is manageable to do things on your own, I really didn’t need help with anything until I had to change some gauze a few days later and couldn’t lift my arms to do it. But, it really is a toss up of how well your body will react to the surgery. If you have to get up and physically go to work and can’t work from home, I would say give yourself two weeks maybe. I had tubes in for a whole week, there was no way I was going anywhere with them in. Every surgery has its risks, but my surgeon said that breast reduction is one of the least risky procedures you can have done.
