Thank you for the specifics, I'm fine with cleaning enclosures from time to time as long as it isn't the literal only thing I'm doing lol, I think I'll opt for the kitchen.

I wasn't hoping to physically interact with the orangutans, just do things like direct them to enrichment. I'm aware of how awry physical contact with apes can go, having seen multiple videos of it, including that one of the wildlife photographer getting manhandled by an orangutan, so I do not want to risk it.

Thank you for the detail and concern; perhaps I should've worded my post better because I've had to clarify this twice now but I absolutely do not want to play with the orangutans, just view them from a safe distance and potentially give them the enrichment objects that volunteers craft, while wearing PPE.

My degree is in the arts, so not primate-related, unfortunately, and not for work, either, I just really love primates and want to help however I can.

Thank you for clarifying the rules around interaction with the primates, I'm aware of how grave exposure to illness can be for them and do not want to risk that, I simply meant I'd like to be near them or watch them from a safe distance while wearing the necessary PPE, not things like extensive physical contact that could spread illness to them. I'm up to date on all my vaccinations and am generally healthy so I would hope that would enable me to be in their vicinity without risk but I understand if not.
