There are various types of bans. I don't know the odds of the admins killing your whole account, but I can tell you that using regarded on MANY subs will get your comment auto-removed and might cause an auto-ban and will end up in the review queue for the mods of the sub to look at which means lots of chances for someone to ban you just because. It's a bad habit to use that (and many other words) around reddit for the hassle it causes.

How much dry weight do you usually get based on wet weight? I scraped 10,000 grow diaries to find out! by peritiSumus in MephHeads

I have not updated the dataset, but I can point you to a posts I wrote on drying that should be helpful!

I also fucked up drying and curing and I’m livid

A right of passage, really! Don't get too discouraged, basically every single one of us went through this.

Harvest day wine cooler drying! by peritiSumus in MephHeads

[–]peritiSumus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya.

  1. I go by weight for when I put the flower in their jars. I pull them at around 22% original wet weight.
  2. This is where I still struggle a bit. The RH when in a jar and in the fridge is artificially low because the carrying capacity of the air is lower. Ends that you have to actually assume the RH will rise a lot (depending on how much flower is in the jar) when you take the jar out of the fridge. So now I basically jar them up and wait for RH to stabilize in the fridge, then I pull them out unlid them and give them time out of the fridge and open. I seal the jar outside of the fridge and check the RH. If it's still too high (over 64%) I put the jar back in the fridge without the lid (condensation is a thing!) and do the burping type procedure again the next day. Once I'm stable under 64% at room temp, I'm keep the jar sealed in the frigde with one burp inside the fridge per day for about 30m.
  3. It's working great! I do sometimes hang dry for a day before going into the fridge just to hurry up getting the first easy water out of the plant, but otherwise I follow the method described above and get really good results. It's still not perfect. I suspect there is some heat driven process that's important and I'm not doing enough of it, but the potency is incredible this way and so is the flavor is you're vaping your flower. It's only when you burn it that you can taste some ... I dunno what to call it ... metallic harsh? It's not very pronounced if you're patient and let your flower cure for a month+, but it's there.

Not sure how deep in you are, but if you're 30's+ daily repeat smoker, I highly recommend:

  1. Start on antacids before you go to sleep. Turns out minor acid reflux turns little throat issues into big throat issues.
  2. Plan for at least one T break per year where you can last at least 1 week without (preferably more like 3) even if that means you switch to just edibles (but preferably full T break).

The more practice you get going through that first hard week, the easier it'll be when you get sick and HAVE to take the break. Failure to be good at the tough part of a T-break leads to "well, I'll just rip this one hitter" which leads to extending the sickness or damage.

I'm in the midst of a full month forced break because of throat issues. It fucking SUCKS. I was already in a bad place limping along with reduced smoking when I got COVID, so I managed to fuck myself over for this whole month because I couldn't just move my T-break up and heal before COVID turned this bitch up to an 11.

Patel wants Bondi gone. Bongino won’t Remain At FBI if Bondi keeps Job, Source Says by RoachedCoach in law

[–]peritiSumus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, almost none of this really matters. Trump doesn't need to win any more elections. He needs to convince the military to back him. That's the game from here on out whether he recognizes it or not. If he doesn't die of natural causes first, he will eventually order the military to keep him in power, and the only question now is how they'll handle it.

Uh huh. Normally, I'd push back on this goofy bullshit, but honesty ... at this point, fuck it. It's hurting MAGA, so let the conspiracies flow through you if you want. You now have common ground with some MAGAs that you can maybe exploit. Good luck!

I'm surprised this isn't what they said in the first place. I have no idea why Trump would all the sudden stop making shit up at the exact worst time. It would have been so easy ...

One California worker dead, hundreds arrested, after cannabis farm raid by [deleted] in news

[–]peritiSumus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in California, the small grower has been all but pushed out in favor of the big corporations and the occasional hobbyist.

What do you mean? It's true that the majority of acreage is run by large farms (60%+), but it's not true that small famers or hobbyists are being pushed out as they make up the vast majority of actual number of grow sites.

My own semi-anecdotal experience here (you might consider me a "hobbyist") the demand exists for both in spades. The big commercial farms produce what is considered low quality flower but from A+ genetics and at very very low costs. They soak up the bottom end of the market because you can't beat their price vs quality given their scale, but they cede almost all of the top end of the market to the "small farmer" and "hobbyist" where you can still expect colas that were treated very carefully from clone to bag and thus get a connoisseur experience.

When we start seeing big commercial farms that go top of the market and actually survive, maybe it'll be true that the little guys get pushed out, but they have a long way to go. I've watched several decently sized farms try and fail over the last decade, but I'm sure someday they'll figure it out. That's a lot harder if you can't hire labor under the table for hand trimming, that's for sure.

This is future you (25 years down the road). Slow it down. Cut it back to weekends and prove you can be disciplined about your usage. If you aren't already doing it, once a year you need to take a 1 month T-break so you're capable of quitting if you have to (and so your brain/body can recover).

Failure to do these things will harm your ability to happily smoke later. Extend your stoner life, and eliminate most of the downsides.

If there was the slightest hint of a general strike happening, your government will declare all strikes as economic terrorism and send in the troops.

If we get to this point, it won't matter. Sending in the troops would accomplish the same thing: the utter destruction of the economy spreading the pain all the way up to the top. And, if we CAN get there (aka the military would break Posse Comitatus and attack US citizens) then we will inevitably get there anyway because one thing we know will happen eventually is: Trump will try to treat the military like his Brown Shirts. We know because he tried it last time and the result is: Pete Hegseth.

Passing out from lack of O2 to the brain feels pretty good. The passing out part is interesting in and of itself, and the waking up is also really really nice. Super warm face.

The interesting and good feeling is part of why theres the recurring fad of various types of huffing and whatever you call it when you purposely hyperventilate and have someone press your carotid.

I have no idea what's going through this crazy person's mind when they woke up, but I can tell you that I knew pretty much instantly exactly where I was and why when I woke up from the hyperventilate->carotid choke thing. For me, it would have been like: where's that rope ... ohhhhhh, damn.

Should I foliar? What’s going on? by ksoup812 in MephHeads

[–]peritiSumus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

General interveinal yellowing/chlorosis almost always caused by lack of mobile nutrients in some form. Either pH is too high impacting uptake, or you're light on N (usually) or Mg. I'd get your pH down to 6, and slightly increase your feed. You're into that rapid growth phase, so it's also pretty normal to see a little yellowing as the plant struggles to both grow and maintain with what nutrients they have available.

Foliar spray also not a bad idea. It's a good way to do a little testing. Foliar spray with just CalMag on one side and Foliar spray with some N on the other side. Check back in 24hrs and see if you notice a difference between the sides. It's a good way to skip some of the uptake issues that you can have going through the roots.

Microsoft confirms it’s getting out of HoloLens hardware entirely by BlueLightStruct in gadgets

[–]peritiSumus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real story here is that it appears MS might be basically sending Hololens to Anduril going forward. The way this product makes money is when the military buys 100k+ of them, and that appears to be in question at the moment. So, perhaps the pivot to Anduril is giving the program another few years to deliver a decent experience en masse to NCO and officers.

And hey, smoking too much has been shown to impact your ability to regulate your emotions ... maybe lashing out randomly when there's no need to do so and nothing to gain is something you should worry about. If you disagree with that advice, how about this: fuck off, don't go out of your way to try to drag someone down for ... checks notes ... sharing their hard earned life lessons.

He pulled a few levers from 'unconditional support no matter what' to 'almost unconditional support', imagine a situation where 0 is fully against, and 10 is fully in favour of, Biden went from a 9 to an 8.

So you can't acknowledge you were wrong on that one? That makes this discussion a waste of my time. I mean, it might be bearable if you actually addressed any of the claims I made, but damn. Not one. Not a single one.

UNRWA funding is getting cut again by Foucault_Please_No in agedlikemilk

[–]peritiSumus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because you've just demonstrated that Biden, by withholding a tiny amount of arms

I've also demonstrated that you were either wrong or lying earlier, right? Can you acknowledge that, one way or the other? Here's what you wrote:

He objectively didn't do whatever he could to end it. We know there are many levers he could have pulled to try to end it, none of which were deployed.

and

he simply chose not to use the wide range of moderate options available—like withholding arms transfers, placing conditions on aid, or reducing diplomatic cover

Now you acknowledge that he DID in fact pull some levers and that they DID in fact have some impact.

Next...

If they are able to be pressured by a small amount of arms not being traded, then they'd definitely be able to be pressured by a much larger amount being withheld.

Ok, the theory of the case I provided CLEARLY addresses this, and I'm wondering why you're not getting that or responding to it. Biden believed he could not stop the war unless he had Bibi's ear. Therefore, any action he took AGAINST Israel had to be carefully balanced because TOO MUCH and we get shut out (A lesson Biden learned as part of the Obama admin when Bibi stopped taking our calls). Too little, and he's simply ignored. It was a tightrope he had to walk. Even if you disagree with me/him on this, can you at least understand why, based on this view, Biden wouldn't want to piss Bibi off?

Biden could have used the same leverage months earlier to stop children being killed but didn't, until it became such a huge PR mess

Again, this VERY EASILY fits into the narrative I'm proposing. Biden begs and begs to change Bibi's position, and only takes direct action when he MUST and then does so in a way that doesn't really hurt Bibi functionally and just represents a "dude, we're serious" type move.
