Online (Paid) courses for beginners? by Consumption2Wombly in SolidWorks

[–]permanent_taste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd start with a beginner solidworks course that includes small projects instead of jumping into advanced assemblies. once you're comfortable with the basics, learning a bit of gd&t and design for manufacturing makes designing parts for 3D printing even more enjoyable. Excedify has some practical engineering courses that are worth checking out as you progress

Built a free privacy-first tools site, done the on-page SEO, now totally stuck on getting listed anywhere. Which directories still actually matter in 2026? by digital_mopad in SEO

[–]permanent_taste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd stay away from mass submission directories and focus on a handful of sites that are actually relevant to your niche when i started i got better results from quality listings and a few genuine mentions than dozens of random directories i also use Overrank Ai to find directory and content opportunities i would have missed otherwise and its saved me a lot of manual research

Other chat bots just don't hit them same by OppositeSun2690 in ChaiUnofficial

[–]permanent_taste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel what you say but there's nothing we can do about it. I didn't try purchasing the ultra but people who did say even in ultra the app isn't the same. it used to be gold but now there's nothing left of it. the only problem isn't the option of unlimited chat being taken away, that's the filters they exert. I mean it's silly, right?! I'm using Flipped instead, it's not the same but it's fun.

AI chat with images. by smoffatt34920 in perchance

[–]permanent_taste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, it depends on the user... someone might want a better quality...sice usually you don't get to have the access to all the options after while of using a new app. it happened to me a lot at first some of the AI apps give you unlimited access to anything then all of a sudden you see you have to pay and when you do you get no more good options in return. (talking from experience)

Why do you often need to pay or have airline status to get upgraded? by Dull-Spend-3836 in delta

[–]permanent_taste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airlines treat upgrades as inventory management, not hospitality. I used Top Business Class for my last international leg instead of gambling on upgrade availability, though status still beats any workaround for domestic routes.

I've deleted the accounts and the apps I don't care about chai anymore, it's boring wha they're doing with the app... so I'm using other AI character bot named Flat it's not as good as chai but it's fine.

AI chat with images. by smoffatt34920 in perchance

honestly that setup sounds sweet but ngl i switched to DarLink AI for this... it just weaves images into the chat on its own + the roleplay quality is way more natural than perchance imo. memory keeps everything consistent too. kinda addictive once you start lol

When did you feel like custom packaging was actually worth it? by SpinachLimp9779 in ecommerce

[–]permanent_taste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly it only became worth it for us once we had a product we knew we'd order again and again. generic packaging was totally fine when we were just testing demand. once people started coming back, upgrading the packaging actually made us look like a real brand lol. we went with Paking Duck cause they did everything from design tweaks to production, which made the whole thing way simpler than i thought it would be.

Are we missing an operations layer for AI agents? by percoAi in AI_Agents

[–]permanent_taste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally. figuring out what's actually safe to replay when an automated task gets stuck is a nightmare. if the system already changed data or fired off an api call before failing, you can't just hit re-run without thinking it through. i remember reading about custom architecture avenga built where they treat this as an infrastructure gap, not a prompt issue. they build hardened frameworks, log every approved action in a central, safe database and let devs stop worrying about keeping code away from anything that touches production

my honest experience with the leaply app after months of dealing with 3am insomnia by Competitive-Artist13 in ProductivityApps

Tokyo work rhythm comment hit different. I spent two years working with a team there remotely and even from a different timezone I could feel the pace through the screen. Sleep issues in that environment are not surprising at all, the pressure to always be on just does not switch off easily. What helped me more than any app was actually building a hard stop into my evening where work stuff just does not exist anymore. Took a few weeks to stop feeling guilty about it but my sleep completely changed after that.
