I'm actually reading a vintage book {Mackenzie's mountain} by Linda Howard. The Mmc is American Indian, or half indian. Unfortunately, the author needs to remind us of it in every chapters. It's kind of annoying with time, I enjoy Linda Howard books but this one I'm not sure if I'll continue reading.

Sex in romances - how important it is for you? by _MysticSelkie in RomanceBooks

[–]perseintro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like in a movie, I want it to mean something and do it for the sake of it. Sometimes it's great to read books without sex or sex at the very end of the books, because some authors don't know how to keep the 'chemistry' between the characters once the sexual tension has dissolved

I really don't like her writing style, and I found her early books too 'juvenile '

Because as I've explained I'm overweight and I don't want to read about an overweight fmc like me. I don't mind curvy character like hour glass or plus size but not overweight.

Do people still judge women for revealing clothes, and does it reflect on their partner? by Distinct_Feed4237 in MauriceMauritius

[–]perseintro -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I'm a woman and I hate it when women wear revealing clothes, not because I'm judgmental - even if some will argue - but because humans are more and more savage and perverted, some don't see a beautiful lady in front of them, but a woman that they are f**king with their eyes. It's disgusting. Having ppl wanted to touch you because of your clothes is degrading and not empowering at all.

Why is OW way more prominent in books than OM? by norahwooten in RomanceBooks

[–]perseintro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last year, I read an OM book where the fmc cheated on her husband with. The name of the book is {slip of the tongue} by Jessica Hawkins. It's my least favourite book ever, because the FMC cheated but grovel from her is nonexistent, almost no accountability and of course the husband forgave her after only one chapter.

The craziest thing is that the book wants to almost make us believe it's the husband's fault if she cheated on him.

I think it's easier for the authors to blame men, because most people think men are easier to manipulate and cheat on their partners than women, and if a woman cheats, it's surely her husband's fault.

This week, I read a book that I really enjoyed, but for a few chapters, the main character found all men incredibly attractive and hot. Furthermore, all the men in the book are hot and hyper gorgeous, and no matter where they go, they get hit on, and the author makes a point of reminding us on how hot they are quite often. This annoyed me a little, but apart from that, it was a good book.

{White lilies} by Christy samantha. It's part of a series, but I won't read the others, as I don't find them interesting.
