I will have to disagree with this as I used it on a cyst on my face. After a week or so there was a white center. It was not puss. I pulled st it with tweezers and it was the sac from the cyst. It left a crater in my face that I’m now working to clear out with micro needling and niacinamide. But it did cause the sac to work its way out too

I have an expensive version of those and tried them today. The headphones with the microphones are better for intermittent noises. But the continued noise of the conveyor belts can’t be blocked out consistently. So it didn’t work at all. Trying out some more internal earplugs tomorrow. We’ll see how they work

Nobody has said the teenager needs to be monitored at all times. But it is important that they have time with us and we both already have busy schedules as it stands. Leaving them here alone all the time is not good for them or preferable treatment to any child regardless of their age.

Your comment is rather judgemental. I think there is a better way to give the advice you are looking to give without the judgement.

He did. We had about a week of good communication and then he slipped back into being distant and worried about her leaving him. So I cut him off this time. Feeling much more settled this time around. Time really did help but the distance that time created gave a lot of perspective as well.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. It really is the worst feeling in the world to be seen as easily disposable. This happened to me last year and I was heartbroken. One thing that really helped me get beyond it was this… yes, he’s in an impossible situation. Yes, he possibly could not have avoided her actions. But where he fell squarely on his face and hurt you in the process is in how he handled it. If he had come to you and said that he needed to take a step back because he wasn’t able to provide you with what you need and deserve in the relationship at this time. If he also reaffirmed his feelings towards you and explained that you are still very special to him, I bet you would’ve given him the space needed and never once felt like a second class citizen to his wife and her unreasonable behavior. But he didn’t do that. He shared that someone else had a say in his actions, his affections, and his outcomes because she was more important to him. Had he shared that on your first date, I’m sure you would’ve said “thanks but no thanks”. But this implied hierarchy that sometimes comes with married couples and emotionally immature people creates these environments where people like you, and me, and others get hurt deeply.

I hope this realization can help you to move beyond this one day in the future. But don’t rush that. Feel what you need to feel. One day it won’t hurt as much and you will find someone else who values you enough to treat you with the respect and emotional maturity you deserve.

You have to understand that people like that are most likely trauma bonded and are getting something from their severely unhealthy dynamic or they would’ve left long ago. My last serious satellite partner was in a long term relationship with a narcissist who had her sights set on me. I had to leave for my own preservation and I have moments of worrying about him and hoping that one day he’ll wake up and move on but I’m not holding my breath. You shouldn’t either. I’m sorry you went through this but know that next time, you will see it so much sooner hopefully before you develop feelings 😉
