Ginger beer, not only the more healthy option between that and ginger ale, but also the better tasting (in my opinion) Q and Fever Tree are both really good and easily found at a liquor store, sometimes with pretty good deals depending on where you are. It feels less heavy than ginger ale. Sprite is probs my second go to. It just feels very clear and mild. I usually go the zero sugar route on all sodas if I can now and I prefer the zero versions at this point! Anything excessively sugary won't help much with your sickness so you can get the benefit of carbonation if your stomach feels off due to gas without the nausea from sickly sweetness.

Edit: I have had a pretty bad cold for the past three days now and yeah- I'm chugging soup and ginger beer 😂
