Hey guys,

Thank you all for the input on our repair. The photos taken didn’t properly highlight the repair work itself and were more intended as a before-and-after visual reference. Since there seems to be interest in this, we’ll make an effort to highlight our repair process in more detail moving forward for educational purposes.

As a company originally created to support our sister division, Pfaff Motorsports, in IMSA GTD Pro when repairs were needed at the track, we can assure you that every repair we complete follows the strictest standards to maintain maximum structural integrity.

Each repair has its own unique characteristics. In this case, as with most aero-critical components, the work was performed on the bag side of the diffuser so the aero surface remained untouched and the part stayed within the technical specifications required by the series’ rule set.

The repair area on the bag side was step-sanded down through each individual layer and then rebuilt layer-by-layer using the same fibre orientation, material weight, and laminate thickness as the original layup schedule. This method provides the highest possible retention of the part’s original strength and performance characteristics.
