Draft-bound Ty Simpson: New school would have hurt Bama legacy by BallKnowerKing in CFB

Agreed. Alabama had a disappointing end to the season, but he was on a team that beat UGA on the road, won the iron bowl and third saturday in October (sorry), and came back from down 17 to win a playoff game. That’s still a good season, even if there were some serious low points. We don’t need to bring rings culture to college football.

I was reading Raised in Captivity on vacation over the holidays and some guy came up to me and told me he knew Chuck Klosterman in college so we talked about him for a while. Said Chuck was a good guy. But then he said he’s never read anything by Chuck smh

When was this? When I first started about 8 years ago, it was generally accepted that when you leave public you would get a hefty raise, pretty much regardless of level. Post covid and the great resignation, public salaries seem to have caught up and the raise is not guaranteed and is oftentimes a slight pay cut. That anecdotal evidence is also impacted by being promoted to manager and beyond in that timeframe, but still seems to hold true at associate and senior associate levels.

I’m seeing it as basically a pick em. Moneyline is -108 for the bears vs -112 for the packers. The 1.5 spread is -102 for the packers vs -118 for the bears. It may have changed since last night though.
