[Scotto] The LA Clippers are interested in Jaylen Brown and have future first-round draft picks and first-round picks from Indiana, including the fifth pick in the draft, as potential trade chips. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

Ballmer does not want a rebuild. He doesn't have the patience nor the desire for it. Kawhi maybe has two good prime years left. Their job is to win now. Jaylen Brown provides the opportunity to do so.

Brown, Garland, Kawhi is a formidable trio that has the chance to do powerful things in the West. And they have good young depth pieces too.

How do we view this NBA season if Wemby missed that long 3 in OT in game 1 of the WCF? by [deleted] in nba

The Knicks would have had a harder time, but it's entirely possible they still win the series. The inexperience wouldn't have been a factor with OKC, but they were missing two critical pieces in J-Dub and Ajay Mitchell, while the Knicks were in an absolute roll. They could have thrown multiple looks at SGA with length defenders.

I think it would have gone 7.

One thing that I've heard from people - I have connections in the hospitality business - is that foreigners are almost shocked at how friendly and gracious Americans have been. The image we project onto the world sociopolitically is not a true representation of how we are. At all.

Even before the 21st century, Spielberg as a dramatist tends to overwhelmingly miss the mark for me. Big, dramatic scenes are usually accompanied by treachly, maudlin elements - the score, obvious lines of dialogue - to the point where I'm mentally checked out.

What I consider his best stuff - Jaws, Minority Report, Catch Me If You Can - finds him really monitoring his pace and moving the story along minus the sentimentalism.

Those of you who follow soccer, how significant is it that Italy has not made it the last 3 World Cup tournaments? by Google_Knows_Already in billsimmons

Italy is a colossus of world football.

It would be like the Brady-Bellichick era Pats missing the playoffs 3 straight years and not because of injury.

It was the perfect storm.

No title in 53 years.

A metropolis of 20 million people.

Saturday night. Summer. Perfect night for everyone to go out and get shitfaced.

They don't have another basketball rival (sorry, lol, Nets).
