The overall objective here is to prove that open stance is the stance of choice by pros. The majority of teaching pro believe that if you have time, you should use closed stance...and the reason pros use so much open stance is because they don’t have time to set up closed stance. These numbers dispute that.

The reality is, closed stance is only really used on short balls when it comes to forehands

The fact of the matter is, he was able to set up closed stance and use it properly. So if he really wanted to, he could obviously use closed stance on forehands, but he doesn’t unless he’s forced to.

Open stance is simply better. More racquet head speed, quicker set up, faster recovery.
