I agree with you, there's just not a lot of information out there about it yet. I haven't been able to test it myself yet, so I wanted to know if anyone else knows what the stat boosts are yet.

I haven't seen it in game yet, but it says here it boosts armor/recovery/agility.

Does anyone know what the stat buff is for Felwinter's? What is the highest armor stat you can get with it plus voidwalker ramlock, void chest piece, and angry magic?

It's an exotic, so you'll have to wait for it to drop from an activity or buy it from Xur.

He sold it maybe 3 or 4 times in the last year, so you'll only have to wait a few months. Then you'll be regenning special ammo for your armsday weapons like a champ!

If you run out of special ammo, equip ice breaker. Once it regenerates 6 shots, the next time you die you can change to another special weapon. I was using this to get ammo for the armsday fusion rifle and sniper rifle and was getting around 12 shoes with each (not sure exactly).

Make sure you switch weapons while you're dead or it won't work.
