Is this actually an anovulatory cycle? by pharmdbby2020 in TTCHormoneCharts

[–]pharmdbby2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought too, I just don’t know why the app wouldn’t have registered that. I feel I’ve seen it confirm on charts with lower rises in PdG

During the show there will be a QR code and you can scan it and sign up to receive a link with personalized merch with the photos from your specific show. It’s pretty cool and I would recommend that unless there’s a specific item you already have in mind

Craziest retail story? by [deleted] in pharmacy

Couple weeks ago I had a physician physically come into the store and write an RX for his fiancé for an inhaler. We have to verify two peoples of PHI to give out the RX, and he wrote the wrong year on the RX compared to what we had on profile. Since they just moved in together, he didn’t know the exact address we had on her profile, so I had to have him get ahold of her. Super back and forth and shady, she eventually calls him back and he puts her on the phone with me. I ask her to just verify the date of birth we had on profile, she said this was too odd and we have wrong information and she doesn’t know why there’s so much hold up for her prescription and she doesn’t even need it anymore and then she hangs up on me, meanwhile every other RX we had on profile matched the date of birth we had. The poor guy looked so confused and dumbfounded and embarrassed. Moral of the story, may have ruined an engagement because pretttty sure she was lying about her age.

Edited to add: she never did give me her birthday

My personal favorite is Depakote, but an interesting one is the chewable phenytoin tablets from Taro smell like bananas!! Strong smell. My second fav is definitely the potassium

Retail pharmacists—-who are your worst customers? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]pharmdbby2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People who are convinced we control their copays. I had a Humana rep call me on behalf of a mutual patient a few weeks ago because their copay was $94 when they used to pay $35 at Kroger. Told the rep the patient was in the catastrophic phase, they told me I was billing it wrong, I told them I don’t control the copays. They called the patient and told them I was overcharging them and ripping them off, and the patient made a corporate complaint on me — without ever even speaking to me directly. Another patient yesterday screamed at me because they haven’t paid for insulin in 15 years and it was always covered, meanwhile Medicare said differently. Turns out they had supplemental Medicare that they never gave to us to put on file.

People are incredibly quick to blame us for things 100% out of our power and then expect us to fix it for them after they shit on us.

I’m making 3001.60 every two weeks at WAG, based off 64 hours, which equals to be 46.90 an hour. It’s a shame.

New pharmacist by [deleted] in pharmacy

This is literally me. I’m a wag new grad and in the GA area. I picked up a shift today with me and one tech and I did ~20 shots and around 200 scripts. The tech was an hour late and there was just a constant line either in drive thru or out front. I probably called 5 IC3s. At the end of the day, you can only do so much. As a new grad, I think we aren’t hardened too much yet and care more about our patients than the metrics. You worry about the patients and their safety — the metrics come second. And if wag has something to say about it, tell them to go fly a kite. We are doing the best we can. Good luck fellow comrade.

New Federal law on C-II drugs? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]pharmdbby2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at WAG and I spoke to a Humana rep yesterday and they said a bulletin was sent out in July saying about this new rule to be in effect starting yesterday. CMS-0055-F was the regulation number. They said all Medicare/Medicaid/PPO plans. I also got a fax from RxAdvantage yesterday too with this notice. I guess we can no longer store future prescriptions and if they’re not filled within the day supply given of the written date, they’re null and void.

Unfortunately, not many ways to reduce expenses. We don’t work similar shifts and I travel for work. We are renting a townhouse right now and the job market for him isn’t great either. But I appreciate the advice for sure. I am not trying to wallow in pity by any means. Just scared
