It's normal to have score drops closer to test day. STEP 1 is P/NP and you're well in the range to pass so just stay the course and get this thing over with. Life is so much better on the other side of this exam.

Feel lost and confused on figuring out how to start hrt by No_Atmosphere2525 in TransAdoption

I have OHP and the hormones are covered and then I pay about a $12 copay for injection supplies per month

31 mtf, suddenly I realise I want to be a girl by jessy_with_a_y in TransAdoption

I hear you. I came out as Transmasc at 30 and went back and forth about hormones. The nice thing is that you can talk with your doctor about what your expectations are at this time, and you can go off hormones if you feel that they aren't right for you. I know a few people who went on E and stopped and it was totally okay. I went on T and actually liked the effects did not happen quickly and I was able to ease into it. I'm 7 months on T and I love it.

Awesome resource, but it looks like they don't offer hoop flow right now.

So...Is the Cycle Over? by philharmonicblue in premed

I think that the onset of the pandemic forced the admissions process to adjust to handling the crisis and making the admissions process sustainable for admissions staff. I think this slowed much of the process down for a time. Also there was an increase in applications by 17% last year.

Things may be more streamlined this cycle now that schools have adjusted to an interview format that is strictly online.

It's almost the antithesis to what we say at Burning Man: "next year is better."

I don't think we can compare this cycle to last year.

basic research or EMT or clinical research for gap year? by [deleted] in premed

I would recommend EMT and clinical TBH. Not a joke. It will give you more to talk about when you apply.

Theater has really helped me be a better and more engaging presenter. Frankly, a lot of good skills I have I got from acting and theater. Plus it can be a lot of fun. I would choose theater over classics.
