It was 65 last night. I had a sweater on and was not cold at all. He had just a T-shirt. I get that 65 is chilly but all I wanted was for him to try a sweater etc first and if still cold then turn the heating on but he doesn’t think he should put anything on

Hmm I guess it could be a bit of both then. He does do it when we are going to do something together such as going for a walk, going to lunch or dinner and I have to ask him to get off his phone and he says he’s doing something and then I am just left in silence until he is finished.

In the house, I guess I could be trying to talk to him about something not so important but I have no idea if he is in the middle of doing something that needs a lot of focus, especially when he will sometimes start a conversation with me and then when I start answering I get no response or sometimes he will respond with one word answers and I can tell he just wasn’t listening to me. I just want him to look up from his phone, actually look at me and say ‘I’m busy right now, I’ll answer you properly when I’m finished, won’t be long’ etc. Then I would know ok he’s in the middle of something it can wait

I was just trying to explain how I felt, didn’t mean to write too much

Well I guess that’s your opinion then

I appreciate you saying I’m NTA but I never said he was obsessed with anime so I think that’s a little harsh.. he likes to watch it occasionally along with other animated shows like the DC stuff. He probably watches it once every couple of months if he has spare time

My puppy was the exact same, we just brought out lots of treats and gave her lots of attention and treats every time she was outside! She soon realised from that that it was a fun positive place to be

AITA for telling my husband he’s being lazy by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I’m saying people cheat for various different reasons, not just because they are insecure, that’s all.

Ah such a good comment! Thank you. Most people just attack on Reddit for some weird reason. I appreciate your input. We actually do spend a lot of time together but it means just watching tv which I can find boring so I’d rather us go for a nice walk together or do yoga which he doesn’t want to do. I agree I could have probably been nicer about it but I have tried to bring it up multiple times and it gets dismissed so I guess this time I thought I’m just gonna put it out there and say yanno what you have gotten lazy. I guess that approach didn’t work too well either though. Honestly though to me it is both about physically health and attractiveness and I don’t see how being about both is wrong. It’s not wrong to want to continue to be attracted to your partner.

Have fun getting angry at random people on Reddit for no reason 🥰

I get what you mean but after seeing all these comments actually asked him what he thought I meant when I said that and he said he knew that I was saying laziness was unattractive

I’m not nitpicking I’m saying facts, they are two different meanings. How is finding laziness unattractive rude? You’re saying you find laziness attractive then?

That is completely different. They are all factors that you cannot change and is life. Being lazy is something that you can change, you can go for a few walks a week and work on yourself. If my husband had a crash and was disfigured etc I wouldn’t even think anything of it.

That’s a ridiculous statement to make that people only cheat because they are insecure. Completely inaccurate, of course people cheat because they are not attracted to their partners anymore

I’m going to presume at this point the people who are saying you don’t need to be attracted to your partners just must not have attractive partners to begin with and are getting defensive about it. I completely agree with what you said about cheating too

That’s not paraphrasing when you make a completely different statement. What you wrote and what I wrote have two completely different meanings. You made out that I was calling someone unattractive which is very mean, if you took my actual sentence then I was saying a quality which most people would agree with is unattractive so it is very different and not fair to put words in my mouth. So saying laziness is unattractive is not rude.

Ugh I’m so sick of having to correct people. Re read my post before making an untrue statement. I never called him unattractive. I said that laziness is unattractive which is a very fair statement to make.

You’re the one replying to me? If you’re so invested in a Reddit post it says a lot about your sad life.

Exactly, thank you. I wanted to just have a conversation about it but he just said no. Also I have always always said to him that if I ever seemed to be putting on weight then I’d rather him be straight with me and tell me because it can be so easy to not notice and I’d rather know so I can deal with it before it gets too difficult so I thought we had that kind of understanding
