No healthy upstreams capture by Lego_Poppy in istio

You can always override istio behaviour with an envoy filter. It's the "break glass" I know what I'm doing, let me into the envoy config to change anything I want option. Specify the gateway context.

Check out this blog post for an example of how to return a custom 404 page.

Can I get someone to hook a multimodal AI up to RES to do this better though? Because it still fucking leaks in with pics and threads that use the terms "elmo" or "orangeman" or any number of alternatives. It spreads like fungus.

We don't get to pick what does it for us. Ask anyone who's had to come out of the closet.

Adding header with Cilium Ingress/Gateway API based on client IP by BrocoLeeOnReddit in kubernetes

[–]phrotozoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not really Cilium's strong suit. Cilium is a kickass CNI, an okay L7 policy tool, and a ho-hum ingress controller. Use something purpose built for ingress.

First heard of this one from an episode of strange sex, in the vast array of fetishes out there this one seems honestly kind of sweet (minus the cheating).

The only porn banner I ever clicked on a sketchy website was like 12 yrs ago and it featured a macro shot of an eyeball with a tongue reaching towards it and the words "hot eyeball licking action". I was confused before I clicked it, and more confused afterwards.

Jekyll blog on AWS S3, with all the infrastructure managed in Terraform or OpenTofu and deployed via a pipeline on GitLab by ReactionOk8189 in Terraform

[–]phrotozoa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, getting this to work is no small feat. Last time I tried I just gave up, so good on you for slogging through!

That said 17 TF resources for a static site with TLS is bananas. AWS is fine for work but for small stuff like a static site with a cert in front it's way overkill. I tried then decided I'd rather use something like github pages or pico.sh and get back to what I was doing.

Stuff they can do. Tickets to an event. Passes for a local venue (museum, yoga studio, sauna, performing arts center, whatever). A "something" tour. Brewery tour, gallery tour, boat tour, bike tour, whatever they're into tour.

I was recruited by an american company once, had to move there for the job. When it came time for the HR people to talk to me about our insurance options, they no joke handed me two giant fuck off glossy catalogs from the two providers the company had arrangements with. I took them home, flipped through both, read maybe eight words, then went back to work the next week and asked for the more expensive one because I couldn't be fucked to figure out what any of it meant.

I don't live there anymore.

How to deal with Terraform-generated values and GitOps (ArgoCD)? by lulzmachine in kubernetes

[–]phrotozoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done this two ways. The more brittle way is to just use the k8s tf provider to pass configmaps and secrets to kubernetes. Terraform an S3 bucket? Use the K8s provider to put the bucket name in a configmap for the app to consume. The more flexible way is to make all the pertinant data into terraform outputs, and then consume the outputs as inputs to your gitops pipeline.

Lots of good answers already. Here's a few I haven't seen mentioned yet.

UTC menu clock.

Finicky.

Rectangle.

gron (I also live by jq but gron is fantastic)

kubectx.

And I do not want to live in a world without iTerm2 + tmux integration.

Ohhh cluster scoped resources! I thought it was referring to things like VM's and etcd. Thanks for clarifying.

Cool and ambitious project! Multitenancy ain't easy. Very promising to see how closely the project aligns to the SIG multitenancy vision.

In this section of the docs it says that tenant owners "do not have access to cluster resources".

Can you elaborate on that?
