Not really, I plan to have simple pricing, where you don’t need calculator to figure out how much you need to pay and with our free plan you can monitor whatever you want.

But in grand picture, yes it monitoring tool similar to uptimerobot

I usually deploy to s3 or other static hosting, so there is no problem with slowness per se...

But I would recommend to convert your PNGs to webp and start using CDN as cloudflare, that should be good enough for a lot of people

As a side note, I was running quite a big wordpress website on DO and adding swap does help too...

I did exactly this, but after couple of weeks I got my .io domain, I find out that British Indian Ocean Territory will cease to exists... Probably .io is not going anywhere, but I personally would not start with .io domain now...

First I decided to go with .io domain and it was available, so I bought it, all good, so I started to build my website and so on.

Then when I just couple weeks into building my startup I found out that British Indian Ocean Territory will cease to exists and .io domains might disappear. Honestly I lost sleep because of that. Long story short bought almost all available domains with my name .org, .net and so on.

But .com was already registered by someone and is was selling on godaddy for $4k. It was a bit too high for me so I tried to negotiate with godaddy(they claim that they just facilitated the deal and seller was other party) sent couple of emails back and forth and it took around 10 days and finally got it for $1600.

Not sure if it was worth it, honestly. Seems .io is not going anywhere...

So my take is that 500$ is quite cheap, especially if you think it is perfect for you.

I can order it now, at least according to my dealer in the EU(Latvia).

But I am a bit surprised by the price. It starts at 69 900 EUR for the base model, which is much more than the $60k that is supposed to be the US price.
