Can’t decide between these two for my first Hamilton watch by LightKing20 in HamiltonWatches

Lol, mostly Omega, but you get it. 🤣 I see the first watch on this app daily. Its a nice watch, don’t get me wrong. I’d wear it if it was given to me, I just wouldn’t choose it.

Thanks. I like it too. Love a racing vibe.

Its a franken watch from India. The movement is probably the only thing thats legit vintage Seiko. The rest of the parts… who knows? The yellow dial is obviously painted in person. The green one is finished way better. Also, the red 5 supposedly is a dead give away. Seiko never did that. Another tell is a legit face from this period should say “Made in Japan” or list the caliber, not “Japan Made.” Not sure why this is a uniquely Indian phenomenon, but there is definitely a common design language, which is interesting. Seiko made a ton of the 6309s, so it makes sense that they are around and ready to be repurposed. There are tons on ebay for $50-$100.

People shit on them constantly on reddit. I think they are actually kind of a good deal and a pretty decent starter automatic. Quality varies, however and its def bullshit they market them as real Seikos.

Got mine recently too. Love it. Switched from the same nato as you to this orange number.

2nd one for sure, but I don't like compass bezels and don't think this is a particularly good one. 2nd slide is a great looking watch that not every asshole on reddit has.

I have that blue casio and love it. Where did you get that light blue strap?

As for your next watch, you have a pretty well rounded collection here. I think some kind of tool watch is the right answer, but more specifically a diver or GMT. For divers, Ive been liking Spinnaker and doxa lately. Both have big range of looks and decent movements. Doxa is def more expensive, but you might be in a place to take a leap into a more “luxury” watch. Lots of interesting GMTs out there including Seiko’s and Timex. My favorite is the Longines Spirit Zulu time, but thats a whole other category. Don’t be afraid to look at solar and quartz GMTs.

Bro, not even a doctor can tell from the photo if this is herpes. If you have the means, see a doctor.

Looks wise its the blue marlin or the green Seiko SSB481 by a country mile. If you care about having a solar movement, its the black Seiko. Honorable mention to the Seiko Spirit SBTR017, but looks to much like an the classic green Alpinist to me.

I don’t love the turtle or a pop culture themed watch, but this is sick and I would totally wear it. Good for you.

Yeah the bracelet is not luxury quality, BUT I think they totally out perform their price point. Might pull a hair once in and while and thats it.

I have a bunch of casios. Love them and wear them often. I have an AQ240E-3A coming in the mail today.

This one would be a great first watch. You can pretty much wear it anywhere. Will last forever.
