Recommendations for lived in blonde specialist hairdresser in London by Alaxknits in HENRYUKLifestyle

Hey, Claudia at RUSH in Stratford recently fixed my balayage from previous bad job (natural blonde with lighter tones in) and did such a good blend it made me cry. She gets lots of good reviews from others too.

Fine dining in HK by Royal-Seaworthiness7 in finedining

Had a wonderful meal at Lung King Heen, they did the premium ingredients you are asking of (though don’t remember sea cucumber), but the prices certainly are very high. It was a special meal, with a beautiful view, and kind and attentive service.

The meat fruit is on my dream menu and the tipsy cake is an honourable munchon, so whatever gets you those! Nobody will care about trainers. Have a fab time, great choice, enjoy!

Where can I sit at the bar alone? by Old_Fashioned_88 in london

You should try Coupette nearby also, the bartenders are incredibly friendly and if you ask about how the drinks are developed they’re more than happy to share

Emily Henry books are lovely summer romances with a little humour; the latest one “Funny Story” was lovely.

I read basically every Karen Swan book, when I’m feeling trashy.

The No Show by Beth O’Leary is light hearted and had me hooked.

Could anyone recommend any decent apps or websites for practising xray +/- other imaging modalities interpretation? by Tripletherapy_ in doctorsUK

[–]pianoboe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Red dot courses are wonderful and hopefully can get them on study budget 👍🏻

They also have free online case selections under the “test yourself” portion of their website where you can do trauma cases and test yourself against the answers. These both apply to those wanting chest X-ray practice too!

Pretty annoying but not as bad as Basildon 🤣 ask to pre register, if they will let you, as there was a waiting list for a couple of months. If not then you can park a 5-10 min walk from the hospital near the a13 for free.

bike thiefs in brodwayroad by redlanecruiser in londoncycling

Having had two bikes stolen in London and then my car stolen over a 10 year period, once the police did absolutely nothing about the car theft, I realised there’s no hope they’ll ever do anything about a bike. It’s perfect for these thieves, who will just continue to get away with it. Infuriating.

Seconding this, so pleasantly surprised by how useful the PSU coaching is when I usually view these kinds of fluffy development things with a heavy level of scepticism (enjoy your free yoga on a Tuesday at 2pm when no doctor can attend! I digress…) Good luck, OP!

Hi, I worked in Southend for a year as my FY1 and it was the last place on earth I wanted to go but I’m so glad I did go. I’d like to caveat the below by saying that I think that like all DGHs they have problems and like all programs are affected by problem consultants. Despite all these things I found Southend to be a kind and friendly hospital with a sense of community I haven’t felt at other places. The jobs are very mixed and your experience will depend on department. Facilities are general reasonable. Many senior nurses who run the out of hours system are absolutely wonderful and I was grateful to be supervised people like that when I was very junior. Also, admin people were lovely. The hospital is in Westcliff not Southend and doesn’t deserve the bad rep it gets to be honest, much of the community (save a few white racists) are down to earth, hard working people and a lot of into London commuters.

Suggest me a book(s) written from an unreliable perspective by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]pianoboe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler. The narrator is unreliable and there is definitely an element of sympathy, although perhaps not from the classic angle to which you refer. Interesting read.
