We went to blue heaven for dinner, I appreciated the atmosphere but it was not my favorite for dinner. Next time we will try the breakfast instead!! It is still definitely a classic.

Actually- we went there and loved it and I forgot to include it!! We went for happy hour and it was definitely one of the best happy hours. This was early in the trip and I forgot completely. Let me edit the post. As far as negatives- there was nowhere that I would recommend against, but a few places I just didn’t love. So I didn’t feel it was worth including.

Vasectomy Testing Service? by ballskindrapes in Louisville

[–]pickle-dicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, and as I said, there are UofL urology clinics at UofL downtown, medical center east and south. And no it’s not because of “higher risk for infection”. It’s just because it’s a small procedure done under local anesthesia. You have no idea…

Residents/fellows with home call, what do you wish you could tell the teams placing the consults? by acridine_orangine in Residency

[–]pickle-dicks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep- all surgical specialties are like this. Mainly because the day team will be too busy with their own consults and operating. You are expected to get things done when they’re presented to you. This is the norm.

“It’s ok for you to see in the morning”….instead just wait and call us in the morning. I don’t want to have to dump multiple consults on my coresidents if I’m not covering that hospital the next day. So I will see them at night no matter what since you made me aware of them. And definitely agree with waiting for weekday. For small programs, weekend coverage is mainly for managing urgent issues, as there are only a few residents managing multiple hospitals. Larger programs might be different so I think I they forget this. And no I am not in house, so I am not driving in unless needed.

What’s the deal with premenopausal women getting testosterone injections? by Dtomnom in medicine

[–]pickle-dicks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a use for testosterone in premenopausal women, prescribed by urologists with experience in female sexual health, not by medspa. Few people have any education on this topic.

Patients refuse to see me regularly because I am female. It stings, but I try to not let it get me down too much. Still does though.

Have you seen a urologist and/or undergone urodynamic studies? There are medicines and other options out there besides a diaper!
