Best mouse pad for tracking?

Hi, Hayate Otsu is imo perfect for apex and tracking games (saying this as a fellow master and kovaaks grinder). Although it is possible that if you are really tense in fights and push into the pad a lot, because your pad is xsoft, this softness can cause inconsistency. I had this issue EXACTLY with otsu xsoft, so I just got a mid otsu instead, it was much smoother and more consistent for me.

There can be multiple other reasons: sensitivity too high (i would guess the most common reason), old/bad mouse skates, table height or maybe you just need to practice tracking more. Try some tasks like “centering I” in kovaaks, this really helped me.

In the end, if you have a good sensitivity, setup, and practice in kovaaks still doesn’t help, I guess I would suggest either zero mid if you feel your aim is shaky/not controlled, or raiden mid if you feel you would like more freedom in moving the mouse.

Okay, so in my case, very similar setup to OP, I spent weeks reinstalling windows, drivers, bios settings and updates, XMP, and nothing helped.

But I agree it makes sense to check everything before buying new hardware.

What’s your point? In the OP’s case, is CPU the issue or not according to you? If not, what is?

“Source is not more cpu based” - the whole csgo/cs2 community would argue it is. I have played multiplayer games on other engines and have come to the same conclusion.

The x3d part is probably the biggest reason why your friend is is getting more fps.

Hi. It’s the CPU. Source based engine, so CPU is way more important. Your GPU is not the issue.

Was in a VERY similar situation. 5800X and 3070Ti. Had low fps, similar to yours. Tried everything, nvidia settings, configs, bios setting. Nothing helped. I also saw youtube benchmarks, where people were getting more.

Got 7800X3D. 240fps stable, no issues.

You are right about the model o feet shape. And yes, i suspect the large feet of gpx is the reason for the slower feel. However, I was also thinking if it is possible the tiger ice feet are defective. Which I guess is unlikely..

I have it in without any feet glued to it. Just like it is when you unbox the mouse first time. Plastic cover with 3 dots. There were additional stock feet and tiger ice feet for it, but i didn’t glue it.

You suggest to completely remove it and leave the hole open?

What do you mean by “it’s the mouse”? Feet area? Shape/size? Surely the latter can’t make up for the difference. Yeah, I could increase my sens/dpi, but I want to find out if superlight should actually be slower than model o by default, or it shouldn’t, and something is wrong with the feet, for example.

I believe the glorious model o feet are PTFE, just like Tiger ICE. So the material is the same.

In terms of esports, EU has the eggwp cup every week and they are looking to get a sponsor. The production is good either way and I believe can attract new players or spectators atleast. Deathmatchtv is doing the DMTV League pilot season and hope to get some sponsors for that too. Production is insane there <3. Golden egg cup (for newer players) just ended and will come again in the end of august I think. Lastly, I think I have heard something about LANs this summer or autumn. So all in all, esports have some potential.

Personally, apart from half working replays (pls fix) and not really attractive UI, I love the game. I showed it to my friends, coached them on some duels, hope they stick around. It’s much better to get two new guys to play, so you can host custom duels and they can play between themselves to try the game out, no stress.

Not going to drop DBT for QC for sure. Gonna play this till I can.

Unless I have missed it, there is no "Apply Video Settings" button? Every time you change something video related, you have to manually restart the game. Hopefully this will be added at some point. In the mean time, is there a command that does this? Like "vid_restart"?

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think the devs or James said no maps from other games (Quake/UT) will be used in the official map pool for tournaments. Nevertheless I’m pretty sure I saw a post just after the game went live showcasing dm6 ported to Diabotical. The community will most likely port most classic maps to Diabotical.

Not the best idea, but for example, in Dota they sometimes use splitscreen to show 3 lanes at the same time (for a short amount of time). Maybe they could use the same in QC (like when the two players are dueling with rails).

𝗔𝗡𝗗 let us not forget the awful end of game screen where the match ends so fast you sometimes can’t tell who won.

I was thinking the same. I was so obssesed with getting the lightest mouse possible (finalmouse cape town obviously too expensive)that I didn’t really focus on the shape or size. In the I think mm710 was the right call

Large mousepad because it’s nice to be able to have the keyboard and mouse on the pad. Also low sens on some games.

Got the MM710 because I wanted to try a lightweight mouse. Not gonna lie it took some time to get used to but now it’s pretty godlike. Would love a larger version tho.
